Hey, guys... Like most people here, I'm new at comics. So here I am, on my hands and knees BEGGING for some advice/critique from some of the more "seasoned" players here. Hell, comments from anyone'd be cool. My comic's atquiffle.keenspace.com, but I'm getting Quiffle.com soon. So, whaddaya think?

Well lets see...

You have a really great layout for the site there, reminds me of blue moon icecream ^.^

Anyway, the coloring isn't to bad, but you might want to work on your art somewhat, you'know....use different views, change the scenes, draw backgrounds or whatever.

I'm not exactly the best critic for "joke of the day" comics since I run a sci-fi epic type thing. But you're off to an ok start

Okee dokee... First off Sea Monkeys ARE that big man! and they have fins not little legs.. they aren't bugs! I just got some for x-mas and they're swimmin about, and I loves em so I kinda have to stick up for them... no offense... just becareful and study some sea-monkey anatomy next time!

Now, onto the serious ass-whoopin critique.

If you aren't going to use backgrounds(they seemed rare) then don't cut n paste unless it can add to the joke(the "bird" comic for instance). Otherwise it makes you look kinda lazy.. well at least in my eyes. The urge to cut n paste is overwhelming when you do your comic late... which I feel every bloody day BUT I don't.. again that's just my opinion.

The fact that you actually got the words Bull and Semen together in a sentence was hilarious... but are all your jokes gonna be beer related.. I kinda see a pattern.. then again it's what.. 7 comics???

Nice line quality and the characters are okay.. umm... wanna give us a character page? Maybe some way to know who the hell these guys are? Fact is people forget unless you throw a name every three days or so, it's true! Read a novel and try to remember when you first recognized a character.. usually it's after the 3rd time they appear(minor chracters or lesser major ones.. the main one is kinda in your face and blah.. nevermind). Anyway.. it's an okay comic, kinda forgetable as it is. I only got 2 or 3 of the jokes the others were kinda... well.. forgetable. Don't take this as me trashing you, you wanting a critique and I just told you what I thought. Take what I say any way you wish, I hope you take it as a way to improve, some people here don't understand how a critiqueing goes so I just thought I'd say that to kinda cover my ass in case you get mad(which I hope not).

Ok, point taken! Not actually having any seamonkeys to study, I was kinda going off memory. I haven't actually seen a seamonkey for... I dunno... 3, maybe 4 year! lol

A characters page is good idea, I think I'll whip one together on the weekend. Anyway, thanks a lot, guys. This helps a lot. 8)
