I am certain that these kinds of threads have been beaten to , but (as you can tell by my post counter) I have not been around long enough to read any of the replies.
I am curious what people do to get readership. I've seen the hapless plugs on all of the forums, but for some reason I suspect that there are other ways to do this.
I would appreciate some feedback.

First of all, if you're going to post a question about attracting readers, it is crucial to have a link to your comic in your sig so that we can go there and check it out. The link in your sig turns every post into a little advertisement for your comic, and as long as your not posting just to post, you'll find that you get a fair about of visits that way.
As for further advice, if you scan back through the archives of this forum you will find more than one thread devoted to this topic. One in particular (forget the title) has a nice response from Jim Zubkavich that might be helpful.
Essentially, it boils down to:
Links to your comic in your forum sigs, e-mail sigs, etc.
Tell all of your friends about it, and all of their friends about it, and your family, and your family's friends.
Submit fan art to comic strips that you like. Most will publish it in an 'art' section with a link back to you.
Some artists will swap links with you if you put up a link to their comic (careful with this...only link to comics you actually like, or else you'll start to look like a link-whore).
Get yourself on a comic sites list somewhere. Don't join fifty of them. Find one (or maybe two) you like and sign up. Generally, they require a link on your site, and once again, if you have fifty of those links on your page you will look desperate.
Same thing goes for dropdowns. Check out the dropdowns forum to see if you fit with any of those. Don't go crazy here, either.
That's about it. If I had any better advice than that, I'd be famous.
What it comes down to in the end, unfortunately, is that there is only one guaranteed way to attract readers: make a good comic.

Well, I guess it wasn't so hard to find your comic after all. I like it. It's funny, has a good anarchist bent. I'm not fond of manga-style art, but your take on it is unique enough that I can handle it. Hopefully, you will not become too college-oriented down the road. Personally, I think that's an overdone theme.
Get your name out there, man! An anarchist, pseudo-manga college comic? Damn, throw some chicks and videogames in there and you could find yourself with the most popular webcomic in the world!
Seriously, through, I like it.[/url]

Thank you so much for the praise and the help.
Its nice to know that people think the comic looks good. Does it look like psuedo-manga? That is kind of unintentional. 10 years of drawing on my own has resulted in my current style with a little bit of assimilating from other comics.
Where could I find a comic list site? I did find a drop-down to join, but I have not seen a comic list yet.
Thanks.

I've gotten a decent sized amount of hits myself, and it's all because of the KEENamp (music dropdown) that I created. Instead of 2300 hits, I'd prolly have 500 (counter hits, not Keen-log hits, those are very different).
