Finger lickin' good y'all

Post by Wiebe »

Hi, everybody! I'm new to this board, and it's not like me to start an entirely new topic, but I felt compelled to do so since I wasn't really interested in the other topics I had a peek at. At any rate, I have a comic up, it's not that good, in fact, it's horrible (not bad taste). As much as I don't want to advertise it, visit it if you so desire. Let me know how much it sucks. Mind you, Keenspace doesn't seem to be working right now (at least for me). Just one more thing. Skip the comic that was intended for March 10, I deleted it for a reason (you may have to type in the URL for the comic for March 11). 8)

Why the hell would you sit here and talk about how crappy your comic is... and then turn the message into an advertisement.... Just a question, but would you buy a car if the slogan was "Phoenix, it's a piece of shit!"

Go on out and pick up some pride man, it comes cheap these days! There's a helluva lotta bad artists in here and bad writers too, but the fact is everyone's new in here. So calm down on the self-torture unless you get off on it.. then.. well... I ain't touching that topic. I'm sure it's not THAT bad anyway... unless it's a stick comic where you just cut and paste and your kid sister Shelly(who's just turning 4) writes every comic for you..... thne you may have problems.

I'm gonna go check out your comic... and if you want an artistic critique from me, cool! I'd love to do it. Stuff like that helps alot if you care about advancing. So drop the "modesty" and don't trash yourself either man. Ya don't get an audience by telling us how much you suck.... Oh yea!

24: Could be the ol' reverse psychology trick. Or starting with pessimism so he can only go uphill from there. 'Tis better than coming in with ego, superhero of many.

Or he might have a sadistic sibling who instinctively thinks everything he does is worthless, leading to a rather big self-esteem problem (NO SIREE I'M NOT BITTER). Okay I'm better now. :-)

Just go with my theory: You've gotta start SOMEWHERE, and that somewhere probably isn't going to be perfection. Start somewhere and let fly! You'll improve!

I worked at KFC and know the kind of evil that goes on there. After that experience I would not go after what you seek, not for all the popcorn chicken in the store. So much evil.

I do have the scary tales to tell... Tales of feathers, of cleaning soap and of ... soo much .

I have found that after working at fast food I can no longer bring myself to eat there. Although the same philosophy can be applied to everything else in life (groceries, soda, computers).

The only thing I can do now is live in the woods and grow cabbage and cheese.

CptSpam: I kinda thought it was the whole reverse psychology thing, but even then better to start in thge middle not over/underconfident, just kinda floating in LaLa-land. No trashing your own-work, no praising yourself to the end of time either... then again this is about as pointless as getting mad at Pete Abrams for taking a vacation week(oh the futility!!!)

Oak: Growing cheese... ya let the cabbage keep growing in the hot sun LOOOONG after it's ripe.. then the cheese grows

Mmmmm cheese...

Dude! Roger Rabbit rocks, though I like Baby Herman better. A baby that smokes: so much character.

Well here's my "prompt" and "witty" response, long after everyone has ceased to care.

No, not reverse psychology. Although the first time you guys never responsded to this thread. I just figured I would put it back on top for kicks and giggles. Now that Keenspace is working however, please do go check out my comic.

Thank you. :P
