Is there a particular reason you're announcing individual comics on the forums? I mean, the comic is funny and all, but it doesn't really pertain to anything in the forums. Just making sure you don't accidentally open up a can of spam...

You see, I didn't understand the abovementioned comic - probably because it's parodying something that is not shown on tv in my land - so if anybody could explain the joke to me, please?
I'm not joking as it might sound, I'm pretty serious. Strip intrigued me, but I just don't get the joke.

On Comedy Central there's a game show called "Beat the Geeks". There are 4 guys who are completely obsessed with a different field of multimedia, movies, music, tv, and then some guest geek who's usually obsessed with, like, Star Trek or something. Basically you have to beat them at Trivia stuff. David here just decided to portray the show as someone *physically* beating the geeks (I think that's the music geek, and it's a *very* good characterization). It's a pretty obvious joke off of it, but, c'mon. That probably actually has happened to them their whole lives. Poor guys.

Hope that cleared it up, but jokes are *never* as funny if you have to explain them.

I guess not cuz I WASN'T LAUGHING. Joking.

Ah. Well, never heard of that show, that's probably why I didn't get it.
