Well I started a strip with characters all loosly based around my own personalties (a shrink would have a feild day with me) and a female character on a friend. NOW it all started fine BUT NOW THEIR OUT OF COnTROL.. my characters are warped, does that mean i'm warped... call a HEAD DOCTOR...
Neway, do you find your characters warping out of control... I mean the biggest mistake I ever made was making them live in a castle (or maybe it was when I drew Cindy naked)
Oh well is your comic comming to life... have you created a monstor beyond control?

I thought it was right for my characters to be outta controll. I put them into a situation, I've figured out their characters, their personalities, and everyting from then on is just 'what would they (keeping in mind their personalities) do now.. right?
------------------

Well simply put they are meant to have a bit of character as it were. But its scary when you base a character on you, and he devolps a love for explosives, jumping out of windows... and falls in love with a women who likes dealing out pain. So I've decided to rethink my strip. Before they start jumping out of the screen and tying me down with computer cables.
------------------

No, not really. My characters are all aspects or idealisms of myself. They do and say things that I wish I could.

So when Frody walks around punching people he thinks is stupid it's all me

I just think my characters have a life of their own. I give them the situations and see where they take it. Usually Kota and Destiny throw me the most curve balls. They never seem to go where I plan. There was supposed to be resentment between them and now they're in a relationship.

My characters didn't show up for my comic for two weeks, so I fired them. Then they disguised themselves as a homicidal stick figure and a piece of cheese and somehow found their way back into my comic. How's that for out of control?

Same hear, Alex, was meant to chase after Cindy and she was meant to snubb him off with sacastic wit and cold shoulders. INSTEAD She is in love with him and he is almost constantly in a state of coma. The most out of control thing my characters have done is once I drew Cindy in a slutty dress and made her deal out pain. Since then her cloaths become more and more revealing, and she involves herself in more and more violence. Oh not to mention my carefully sculptured cast has all the suden shoved everyone except those two in supporting roles. Sigh, Cindy was meant to be a supporting roll... but she Literaly slept her way to the top.

In one moment, I actually hated my main character, I mean he's such a feeble. But I don't think restarting a comic is a solution. Actually it's a challenge to put them under control again.

My characters always make the decisions for me. If Volair ever stopped, turned at the camera and said "Okay, what do I do now?", I'd know the strip was out of jokes and it was time to move on. I live in fear of the day that happens.

Maybe my comic hasn't been going quite long enough yet for the characters to be out of control. I just now got them all together. But now as their personalities develop more and more stuff happens to them, they probably will start having minds of their own.

At first it was just the way they looked that was out of control. Heads would shrink and grow and change shapes. Bodies would get long then short, it was crazy! I think I'm getting that part more in control.

My characters aren't really out of control, but I do let them call the shots. Most of the time their reactions are similar to what mine would be anyway. I am a bit jealous of the ones that get more sex than I ever could though. Grrr...
