I vote scholarships!
Also, once we've hit the comicons, we'll have better exposure, and more money-power, I think, for this sort of thing.
I used to do PR and PA stuff, and I think a little charity work is a grand idea even from a cynical point of view.
------------------

Hey, if we can help people who need it (and not just at this time of year), why not? I'll run charity material, absolutely.
------------------

I was thinking (and usually when I do that conscientious people everywhere get nervous).
This time of year, especially, there are plenty of good charities and causes about raising what they can. Would anyone be interested in helping some out? Be it auctions, npo ads, or whatever, I think it would be good exposure for webcomics and KSpace in general. And, of course, we're not talking monetary donations or anything.
------------------

No further input?
It's probably too late to organize much for Christmas, but I still think it's a good idea in General.
And I still vote scholarships. Find a) some comic-related means of raising funds, ie auctioning original art on eBay (can you auction "donations to a good cause"?) and b) some good way to solicit applications, ie cartoon-essay on "TOPIC." Have a panel judge and award.
Just my thought.
------------------

It sounds like a great idea... but then my comic has just started... and who'd want a copy of Acelex's art? But only if they knew who Acelex was...
Keep me posted, I'm quite interested in doing anything to help!!
MikeY
------------------
