I think BoxJam's Doodle is a contender, and that's my best guess.
------------------

Is there another review coming up? Is there a regular schedule when they do this? Does anyone know who's up for review?
Mark
------------------

Going by my referrer stats, I'd say Life on Forbez and Chopping Block. I'd be foolish to say BoxJams' Doodle and Explotation Now arn't contenders tho'.
------------------

Whilst I think Jackie's Fridge may well make it to the Spot eventually, I can't help thinking that it's more likely that the JoBeth Comics will go up as a threesome or not at all, as they're so interlinked. And in that case, they may well not go up at all for a while, not until all three comics "pass muster". But they SHOULD come up eventually, they're that good.
From what I've heard, I believe Boxjam's Doodle and Sporkman stand a very good chance, Exploitation Now might just make it, though for some reason, I can't QUITE imagine it. Or I can, but can't quite see it.
At the moment it's quite a good age for the Space, as we have so many good comic strips alongside the crap- we have the really well-drawn, well-written professional looking ones like Boarders and Sister, Life on Forbez (hopefully soon to resume), and the JoBeth trio. And then there's the utterly amazing artwork in strips like Life on Forbez, Chopping Board and Untitled Again. And then there are the really well-written ones like C.Ulture Shocked and Weishaupt Scholars... there's a lot of good
stuff out there amongst the dross and the empty comics. If I havent mentioned you, no offence...
Oh and that British comic with the mad students in it isn't bad either...
Mab
------------------

Life on Forbez hasn't been updating too well recently, and the artist seems to have disappeared - a computer crash? which could work against it. A shame, as it really deserves it.
Mab

Dammit, knew I'd forgotten something. And then there's the great strips that have a strong readership - like Framed!, Sporkman, Pocket, What/s A Life, and Pimp Cow, which, whilst very well written and very well presented in their way, are perhaps just too individual to be truly classifiable. I'd also put Blotto Street *ahem* in this category.
These examples are all excellent strips in their own way, which, whilst not perhaps as artistically uber-talented as some of our fellow Spacers, are still extremely well-presented, have a strong readership, and are more or less popular, and are a credit to the Space's ethos of supporting up-and-coming webcartoonists. Categorisation is never REALLY quite a good idea, because you always end up with the in-betweenies, which are well-drawn, well-written, and/or just overall well-executed - but are neither artistic masterpieces (in comparison to the creme de la creme) or... oh crap, I mean, they're good, very very good indeed, just not QUITE as drop-dead superb as the best of the best. Now I have a feeling I may have offended the cartoonists whose strips I mentioned, I was just trying to make an objective point to show how I saw it.
You're all great in one way or another, well, except for one person who I will make every effort neither to mention or refer to again, but who has royally got on my nerves. Don't ask me who this person is, as I don't think it fair to say any more about it.
Mab
------------------

Or better still we could invite a Keenspot comic that no one's ever heard of until it's revealed that it's a KeenSpace strip in a mask. Then, J.R. will wake up and reveal that it's all just a dream.
------------------

I am highly in favor of this tactic. Someone who can sound official needs to propose to two or three big 'spotters that they join the elite 'space.
Good theater.
Might even work.

------------------
