Since the FTP is gonna be down, possibly for the night...
What comic do you think is worthy of being upgraded to Keenspot? I know barely anyone on the forums have heard of mine, save for a couple, but er...anyway.
I think Sporkman is the most popular strip here and would make a fine addition to Keenspot. Living in Greytown would be another good choice, although I'm curious as to what Keenspot might do with it. They might stick it in the adult comics section with LWIBH.
Exploitation Now, while cool-looking, is doubtful for upgrading, probably because SinFest is Keenspot's cash cow.
JoBeth might be good for Keenspot as well. I personally find it a little cornballish, but it still seems to have a big fanbase, so I won't touch upon it that much.
What do you people think?
=============

*sigh*
Again with the being compared to Sinfest...
Come on, besides the overall animeness, I don't really even draw that much like Mr. Mynameissobigthatitblocksoutthesun...
err... nevermind, bit of a sore topic, I guess.
Anyway, yeah, Greytown, Comic!!!, or even Floor 13 (if it was daily) would be worth being moved to Keenspot.

Woohoo, the first time COMIC!!!'s been mentioned here besides being mentioned by me! Thanks.
I know you draw nothing like him. It's just, Keenspot might think Exploitation Now is a Sinfest wannabe. I know it isn't, but, I mean, even the message board has some people calling it that. It might be a hard choice for Keenspot, unless you get so overwhelmingly popular that they can't help but put you on.

Ah, never mind. I'm too tired to mock other web comics more popular than me right now.
-_-
Oh and Together We Fall would make a great 'Spot strip as well
------------------

I doubt AiS could ever make it to Keenspot... I don't think most people would be able to see past the art.
------------------

I, for one, think Living in Greytown should be upgraded to Keenspot. Dave Kelly makes a daily comic strip, around 2 big oens comics, and usually a mini-series a day. Now thats a lot. I think COMIC!!! would be a good one too, if it started making more sense. There is a whole bunch of others too, so I dont want it to seem like I'm leaving anyone out. But only the really popular strips will make it, my guess is Common Grounds will most likely be the first.
------------------

phew, someone agrees with me on something. What can I say, if your comic has 2 or 3 popular comics link to you, your gonan get an audience.

Yeah, Common Grounds is going to be the first comic to "graduate" to Keenspot status. The only reason is because she has a few friends in high places.
The comics that really deserve this honor (Greytown, Greystone, BoxJam, and others) are going to have to wait a while, which sucks!
I think we should start complaining!
Wait, we're already doing that, nevermind.
------------------

Don't chew me out because of what I'm fixing to say. Corey has been doing for quite a long time now. She had a comic before Common Grounds which is how she got her fan base and the new look and strip is just helping her more along. There are several great comics here keenspace that would be great keenspotters and I definitely think Common Grounds is one of them. Yes, having friends in higher places helps too.
and the comics i'd really love to see at keenspot would be
being 17

AiS
24 1/2 water st
living in greytown
oh and just a bunch of them.
[This message has been edited by becca (edited 08-03-2000).]

I'm too new, I can say the same for Jesse Brack(Being 17) his stuff is good, but he needs more experience in this(moi aussi). Living in Greytown and AiS I'll agree, and I applaud your defense of Corey and Common Grounds. I'm gonna pull a switzerland on that topic and go neutral
Anyway, thanks for the compliment of considering me Keenspot worthy *chuckles* I appreciate it(I really do, I just find it funny as well)

------------------

I read your damn comic matt, so shut up. I think being 17 could pull it off, give it a few months and maybe have it appear daily. I wont bash Common Grounds, but if its saying its funnier then a ABC sitcom and its not....well thats just plain lying.
------------------

I tend to agree with what Capheine said previously. Arrogance would be a good choice, as would BoxJam, but I think the art would be a hindrance in both cases. Which is really too bad, but then again, that's part of what makes them cool. It's the challenge of putting out a fun, smart comic strip which defies the aesthetic eye-pleasing rule of comic-dom. It's substance over eye candy. And I can dig THAT.
Case
------------------

well being 17 is basically stopped completely. and yes, 24 and one half st is one of my favorites. people need to stop paying attention to only art and see beneath it too. AiS is a prime example of that but i think his stick figures are good ones.
