Long live Wayback!
I don't think the site was officially deleted - some of these special sites take it in the shorts with each regular Keenspace site cleanup. Like Keenvention - although that one is up right now.
I may be up for a repeat of Icebreaker if people prod me around deadline time.

So who's willing to organize this and when is the deadline going to be? Might as well get details like this straight before this topic gets so long nobody will read it anymore

I'd love to organize this. I'll even have one of my characters rate various pictures if no one has any objections. Of course, it'd be nice if we could get an admin to rush the site creation process, so we don't have the general waiting period for site creation. Otherwise we'd probably have to try to get the old icebreaker addy, or put it temporarily up in someone elses site. Or the Keenlace addy. I dunno, something.

That's very generous, Sylvan! And it would save us the waiting period. If this becomes an annual thing someone could register for a seperate account to do the winter thingy in, but this year it could be hosted by KeenLace.
JasterW, I bet you would do a great job running this. Will you also be receiving all the submissions by email? We just need somebody to design the website with haste. If nobody is jumping at the opportunity I would be happy to use what HTML skills I have. Doesn't have to be anything very fancy, right? Either way, I've got a lot of time on my hands being "immobile" and all.

I can't offer anything in the way of design (no time or particular talent in that area), but as soon as I know where to send the pin-up, I'm all over it. Sounds funny and fun.

Yeah, I got sidetracked on working on this by the fact that my computer crashed, but everything's going full steam technologically on my end now. I was going to go register winter.keenspace.com, but apparently it's already taken or something. Any word from Sylvan about keenlace, and if not does anyone have ideas still about the title / address of the site? We're still gonna do this, right? If so, I'm gonna start working on site design hooey...

Yep, it appears to still be going. You can email Sylvan about using the KeenLace account. If you need a hand let me know, I'd be happy to help. I already don't have a website to promote this thing with, or I would!

Hey, my studio-mate Jeroen (of
Belle ) already has a submission ready. Just point us at an address to send it to:)

E-mail all submissions to
jastermareel@hotmail.com with a really obvious subject (anything along the lines of Winter Keenspace or Pinups or something so I don't think it's junk mail. If you don't get a confirmation e-mail within a day or so, yell at me and I'll use a non-hotmail place). And actually anybody who has a submission, or anyone who's going to make one but doesn't have it yet, go ahead and send me an email just so I can anticipate how many people I'm dealing with here.
Wow, don't I sound organized and stuff?

Uh, all of a sudden, there's a Keenime-only version of this event announced on the
Keenime forum. It could be a coincidence, but in any case we may need to talk it over with them so we don't have two competing winter events coming up.

I'd rather have them on board for the big event. I think everyone benefits from there being a big, popular special event site with lots of people coming from everywhere to check, as opposed to two smaller, insular events whose participants hate each other's guts.
