Nice artwork, good concept... my problem is that I don't usually like strips with a continuous plotline (such as Acid Reflux, Elf Life, Sluggy, etc.) so Jackie's Fridge might not necessarily be for me. I'd like to see what happens as you start expanding the archive. There's only about 15 or 20 strips right now, from what I can tell. You may not think your artistic ability amounts to much, but don't worry - your l33t writing skilz (sorry, EVERYone's been doing that crap lately, I hadda) leave most of the stuff out there in the dust!<P>The comic is intelligent, well thought out, with well-defined characters who actually seem to radiate MORE of their personalities from their stick-ness than they would if fully realized. Probably two, if I can get BJ to take some time and read through.<P>Hee - as far as your artistic skills, remind me to have BJ (<B>JoBeth</B>/<B>Jackie's Fridge</B> artist & author) tell you about <B>WXYZ</B> sometime...imagine a big three-ring-binder CHOCK-FULL of stick-figure comics drawn in notebooks and on notebook paper...I think you'd like it. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"><P>Also - Yes, <B>JF</B> has a running storyline <I>at times</I> - BJ tends to do either one-shot strips or three-to-four strip storylines. However, while they all kinda link together, you don't really have to read them all to get the day's strip. Actually, Shannon's working with the "old" strips...<P>The new stuff will feature longer storylines (I've got one that may last a month or two), but within storylines, I'll sprinkle one-shot gags, just to keep the strip fresh for myself and others. And I usually try to put a gag or zing in each strip, so it's not a complete waste for folks who aren't interested in an ongoing story.<P>Keep in mind, after 5 years of print strips, I'm not used to getting any feedback whatsoever--so I have to write for myself, since I don't know IF anyone's reading it, much less WHO.<P>It's SOOOOO much fun working in a vacuum.<P>--BJ<P>------------------

Well, since it's already been pointed out that 'everyone else is doing it', I'd hate to be the Odd Man Out. So, Here's the plug for our strips:<P><B><a href="http://jobeth.keenspace.com">JoBeth</A></B> has been running on the web since late April. It's about the densest blonde you'll ever meet, and has worked up a pretty reasonable fan base. At the end of June we switched from a Monday-through-Friday format to a Tuesday-Thursday format, to allow BJ to pursue his REAL comic, <B>Jackies's Fridge</B>. Check out today's strip, when we learn why JoBeth ISN'T a nuclear engineer.<P><B><a href="http://jackiesfridge.keenspace.com">Jackie's Fridge</A></B> started running at the end of June. It's kind of a 'day in the life' strip, following Jackie as she moves to a new town, meets new friends, and discovers that she has a refrigerator that talks to her. We've gotten good response so far, and we're hoping that it'll take off soon. You may notice some difference between the art of the strips and the art on the cast page - BJ has recently changed styles, and we'll soon have a 'compare and contrast' page up detailing what he's changed, and why. As a friend of his who's seen the more recent strips, I gotta tell you - they look GREAT!<P>Oh, and just a tip for folks who might be new at this - the more different and interesting pages that you have for people to go to while at your site (Author's Bio, Links, Cast Bios, History, etc etc...) the more pageviews you're likely to get. People who come to your site are there for a reason, and most newcomers will devour your entire site, if given the chance. <B>JoBeth</B>, for example, had 6174 visits last month...and 31,018 pageviews. If it's there, they'll look at it. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"><P>Anyway, take a look, tell us what you think (either here or on our forums), and most of all, HAVE FUN!
