Okay. I've noticed that a lot of people here have their own domain. I've been seriously considering getting my own for quite a while now. I want to ask you guys which service you used to get your own domain, and also how much it cost and how good you think it is. Thanks!
------------------

Most people use Network Solutions to get their domain.
Network Solutions costs $35 a year for a domain.
However, Network Solutions *really* *really* sucks. They've (please excuse the expression) screwed people over many a time.
Try joker.com instead. They're only $13 a year since they're outside the US monopoly Network Solutions has, and they're much faster, more reliable, and more convenient on top of it.
Best of luck.

------------------

Oops! Here I am talking about domains without talking about mine!
It just started working for most people, since the DNS entries take time to get around.
Check it out!
------------------

Well, since almost everyone uses Network Solutions, almost everyone can't be wrong, right? I wouldn't know. I used Register.com. Just a tip (and if you read my comic, you'd have undoubtedly already heard me rant about the subject) - REGISTER.COM BLOWS! And sucks. Yes, it both blows and sucks at the same time, which is quite an accomplishment, to be sure.
------------------

Hehe, like I said, it's a monopoly =)
Actually, it isn't officially a monopoly anymore, but it still might as well be.
The story is a long one, and I shant bore you with it.
BTW, when you use register.com, you're still dealing with Network Solutions... (only part of why register.com stinks, though)... that's how it is for any registrar in the US.
Its a good thing there isn't a domain embargo =)

------------------
