Group LiveDraw

So, over on Tumblr, K-Dawg and CJ and I have been doing live drawings lately and they've been pretty fun. There had also been some talk on the forums a while ago about possibly doing a google hangout, and those two things gave me an idea.

Google hangouts allow for screen sharing, and so I thought it might be cool to have a group LiveDraw. Get a bunch of people together in a Google Hangout and chat and work on our comics and such.

Is that something people might be interested in? Let me know what you think and what times would work. I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday night might be best.

Count me in, my schedule gets jampacked once May starts but I'll see what I can do...this may mean I need to buy a real webcam too though.

I don't think Google Hangouts require a webcam (not positive though). You should just be able to show your screen. We won't be able to see your pretty face, but we'll be able to see what you're drawing.

Even if you don't work digitally you could still participate if you have a webcam. Just point it at your drawing area (that's what CJ does).

I don't think I have a webcam lying around. I might be able to figure out how to do it with my iPhone, I guess.

Okay, since there is a good amount of interest in this I think I'll give it a trial run tomorrow night just to work out the kinks, and then we can figure out a day/time that is convenient to the most people.

I got the Google+ app, so that should be able to do Hangouts on a mobile device. I dunno if I'll be on at 8 EST, but maybe more, like, 9 EST.

CJ won't be available until 9 either, so I think we'll push it back to 9 anyway.

It's good 'cause it gives me an extra push to start working on Thursday's comic on a Friday or Saturday. Waiting till Tuesday night to crank out a page every time's the main plot of a comic called LibertyCabbage Did a Bad Thing.
