The Silver Lining Tapestry Contest

Post by Aeridus »

Hi everyone! For those of you unaware, The Silver Lining is a fanmade sequel to the King's Quest series. We are finally hard at work on Episode 5, the conclusion! We are looking for art submissions in a contest called A Tapestry Is Worth A Thousand Words. If you are chosen as one of the winners, your art will go into the game!

More details can be found here:

I want to see what my favorite webcomic creators can do! :D

I actually worked with a creative team on a fan project like this when I was really young. Like, 15. I eventually got kicked out of it for being an idiot. The project started in 1999, and, amazingly, they ended up going all the way to 2011 till finally throwing in the towel. Sadly, despite all the work they put into it, the team never even managed to make an alpha version of the game's first section.

Aw, that sucks! :( Yeah, TSL took 8 years for the first episode to release; it's tough to organize fan projects when everyone has to work for a living.
