I'm wondering about something, now that a lot of oldbies are around the forums. Is it time for a more traditional cookout again? And if so, where and when should we have it?

Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL
Pittsburgh, PA
Calgary, Canada
San Francisco, CA
other areas?

Times:
Earlier than Memorial Day probably won't be possible.

Dates given are Thursday to Sunday except for the Labor Day weekend.
Early June- 5/31-6/3 (mostly in June) or 6/7-6/10 like the 2007-2010 Cookouts, but would need to be smaller again if this early.
Mid June- 6/14-6/17 or 6/21-6/24
Late June- 6/28 through 7/1
Early July- 7/5 through 7/8
Mid July- 7/12-7/15 or 7/19-7/22
Late July- 7/26 through 7/29, a little earlier than the 2011 Cookout
Early Aug- 8/2-8/5 or 8/9-8/12
Mid Aug- 8/16 through 8/19
Late Aug/Early Sept- 8/23-8/26 or 8/30-9/2 (3)
Later than that?

EDIT: Added San Francisco, CA to the list. Risky would be the host in the case SF is selected (and it has a good chance thus far). As for Serbia, I don't know too much about it, other than things have improved over the past few years. Realistically, though, we would then need to allow time for people to get passports or visas, depending on the country's policy. I know we've had at least one meetup in Europe (but not officially a Cookout).

I could probably make one in PA. Or any other place in the tri-state area.

The tri-state area is real? It's not just on Phineas and Ferb?? *Brick'd*

Yes, it consists of states of Mississipi, Alabama and Georgia if I'm not mistaking.

I was specifically referring to the NJ, NY, PA area. Though it can broadly be used to refer to "my state, and the two states closet to it."

yeah tristate is any combination of any three states that touch each other. It gets confusing cause they always call it "The Tristate". In the midwest they use the term a lot for tv stations that are hitting bits of three different states.

That is really funny because I only heard of the term as New York and surrounding states (dunno which ones exactly) and I was making a joke.
Phineas and Ferb get a lot of mileage out of replacing "the whole world" with "tri-state area". I wish there was more humor that subtle in cartoons nowadays.

This has no bearing whatsoever, but I'll be in the US from June 7th though the 28th and I've got like 30k frequent flyer miles.

Honestly, at this point it would be cheaper for me to visit McDuffies at this point. Seriously, I'm in Sicily right now, Europe is cheap as heck to visit right now.
