where dey at
I was bored and looking over the list of "The Team" and perchanced to look at the profiles of the listed mods we have here. Most of them haven't been here in literal years, leaving right before or around the time that I had signed up. It got me to thinking about some of the oldbies who are long gone, and I was wondering if anyone's kept in touch with any of them. Not because I think they're obligated to come back, but just because I'm interested to know whatever became of them. Whether they're alright and all that.

Re: where dey at
Lets see, Komiyan's doing Widdershins, and is pretty active on tumblr.
Other than that I don't know. Every now and then an oldbie will pop in to say "hi" but that's about it.

Re: where dey at
I have some of them on Facebook. Rkolter's there, posting pictures of babies.
Phact is here, Lego pops in here and there and so does Yeahduff. Apparently I have Komi and some others too, but they're mostly silent (Facebook being a dated form of communication and all). I don't know about others.

Re: where dey at
Since it's roughly on-topic.. does anyone ever communicate with Brockway outside these forums? I'm having one of his Swords Are Cool characters make a cameo appearance of sorts in my strip this week; I wanted him to know and I guess he doesn't stop by here very often any more. (Yes, I did leave him a private message.)

A fair few of them have the twitter. I only follow a couple of CGers, but I see names I recognize often enough. Several are pretty active on deviantART, like Claude. My problem is that I mostly lurk, and always have, so I don't really have any major relationships with the people here, even though I've been around for a long time and this is still my favorite forum.

PrettySenshi is very active on Facebook, and I had brunch with her in DC a few weeks ago. She has stopped drawing and is working at a non-profit. She's trying to get into politics, and I know she came by the IRC recently.

834n draws Derelict nowadays. He seems to be most active in the Deviantart community. Oh, and he also dropped the 1337 from his screenname.
834n, Sincerely and Claude founded a forum together last year.
EmergencyExit injured her spine and hasn't been able to draw her comic in months.
Kirb quit Just Another Escape and has turned his attention to a new project, which was supposed to launch in January, but has since had its start date redefined in a more nebulous fashion as "early 2012".
Spoder Mon cleaned up his act following two years in court-mandated rehab. He is now working as an accountant in Albuquerque

Yeah, i recall i did some fan art for Derelict and i didn't even know it was him.Cope wrote:834n draws Derelict nowadays. He seems to be most active in the Deviantart community. Oh, and he also dropped the 1337 from his screenname.
Until he wrote me back saying: "Dude! It's me, 834n!"
Me: "Who?!??"
834n: "Parallel Demetia? Rings any bell?"
Me: "Ooooooooh!"
Also, i spotted Jim North commenting on Two Guys and Guy and he seems to have dropped comics in favor of retro-games reviews.

That's what he gets for dropping the 1337.
Haha, 834n called you "Jobs", so I assumed he didn't recognise you. I was half-tempted to send him an email saying "Hey, Bean! That's Jops! You remember Jops, don't you?"Jops wrote:Yeah, i recall i did some fan art for Derelict and i didn't even know it was him.

Oh, that reminds me...Linkara went and became e-famous for his comic reviews...but I'm sure everyone knows that.Jops wrote:Also, i spotted Jim North commenting on Two Guys and Guy and he seems to have dropped comics in favor of retro-games reviews.

Until relatively recently he was commenting on my comic.Jops wrote:Also, i spotted Jim North commenting on Two Guys and Guy and he seems to have dropped comics in favor of retro-games reviews.

That's actually a common mispelling, he's not the first replace my P with a B. I blame it on that apple guy.

But we actually think this is a very interesting topic, Poney. We know we've thought about it more than once, and have even delved into the stealthy art of Internet Creeper stalking a couple of times. (That's how we found Widdershins.

You think you feel bad, Sincerely and Claude were already part of a snobby, elitist splinter forum and they left us to make their own extra-snobby, double-elitest super-splinter forum.MariaAndMichelle wrote:Awww... that hurts.
