Webcomics War 2011 - CHARGE!

Postby spoonyliger on Sat Jul 30, 2011 12:18 pm

War has been declared! - http://forums.keenspot.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=113959

I, on behalf of the few members who still linger in the ComicGenesis forums, am declaring war on Keenspot on the account of its negligence to our forums and website. Lately we've been bombarded with countless amounts of SPAM and there's very rarely any admin around to put an end to it. Admin Kisai has recently decided to show up though so we've taken her as a hostage!

We demand Keenspot fulfills its responsibility as the owner/parent website of ComicGenesis and stop the negligence, or we're bombarding your forums with air-raids!

War has been declared! Long live ComicGenesis!

Why... why are we (or you, if I'm no longer considered a true Comic Genner) waging war against another webcomic site?

Smackjeeves is huge and would be an interesting choice, but I would be a bit conflicted as I have a mirror site there.

But I'm hesitant in general about the whole thing, so I don't really need a say, I guess.

By my estimation, the comedic potential of Keenspot is far more than the others due to the relationship between CG and KS.

The problem there is that we'd be essentially declaring war on a bunch of tumbleweeds and chirping crickets.

As opposed to us BEING a bunch of crickets and tumbleweeds?

If keenspot has a central forums where the artists do participate, hit that. Otherwise go for a forums where there are artists. Posting stuff for fanbois and fangirlz does nothing.

Also, ALL LOYALTIES ARE TO COMIC GENESIS! Loyalty comics will be required of all who may feel conflicted...

Kinda like slapping KeenSpot in the face and saying "Wake up, bitch! We're still here! And we live!"

Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to show KeenSpot what we got going on.

Except we could save their babies from burning buildings and they still would not pay attention to us. Even back when they theoretically could have or ought to have cared, they didn't.

I'm fairly certain we could make clocks which run on lemons, decorate them with fan art to make the artists keep them, then wire them up to some form of citrus based flamable liquid set to squirt out and ignite at a set time (around 4 am) when they are likely to be asleep.

I think they might have shown us how to do it on Blue Peter once.

Why should we go to war with anyone? Why can't we just, y' know, take 'em over, like a hostile takeover kinda thing? All-out wars are such expensive extracurriculars, what with that Defense budget thing and all.

Okay. What are we doing now? Just posting a thread on their General Discussion asking Keenspot to stop neglecting us or else we're bombarding them with air raids of creativity?

Well, yea, that's the idea. But I don't wanna just go and start trolling their forums. I want to know how you guys want to start that "revolution". Should I just post some damn thread like I mentioned before and link it here and we'll all start "revolutionizing"?
