Not every sports team is named after animals, just most of them. I'd go with a mix of the non-animal names and fiercesome mythical creatures, ie. Pirates, Buccaneers, Wizards, Warriors, Thunderbirds, Dragons, etc.

This is a character for a new story I'm working on. Her name is Krista. Still pounding out the finer details. Like how to get my work online without resorting to digital photography...

Scanners or tablets are pretty much your two choices. You can get a decent one of either for under $100 pretty easy.

Also: Welcome new guy! Or girl. Or asexual nematode, we don't judge.

Edit: I' gonna go with girl based on that thumb. Or well manicured nematode.

Too bad they biffed in '03 — Mighty Ducks of Anaheim: coulda been etched on the Stanley Cup. Oh well, they got it in '07 but they were no longer "Mighty" and had different uniforms.

I'm unable to get a scanner at this point, so I've been scoping out tablets, but when it comes to buying these sorts of things, I get completely lost in the marketing. Do you have any suggestions?

Aside from that, my gender's not important. As for my nails, I just didn't cut them for a while, lol

Wacom is pretty much the Alpha and Omega of the tablet world. I've used several over my life and all were excellent (pretty much all my art is done on one these days). It really just comes down to size and how much you're willing to spend. The Bamboo's are the simplest and cheapest, starting at about $70. The bigger, fancier ones go as hight as $2,000.

Though personally I'd recommend getting a used one. If you use ebay and are patient you can easily get one for about half the normal retail price.

Don't worry IV's just hitting on you - there's a lot of that in this place.

You could name teams after human citizens of various towns. Like, a team of bears named after citizens of chicago would be Bear Chicagos or something like that.

Yeah, what we call it shouldn't matter. Though to be fair, there actually have been people on this forum (or was it a different one I was on...) that preferred to be referred to by "it" rather than a specific gender pronoun.

I know there had been someone over on the TVtropes forum that did this.

I prefer to use singular "they." I'm a huge proponent of singular they.

It's actually sort of beautiful. I don't notice it so much lately because I scarce go over there anymore, but some people just had all this pretentiousness about them. I've known people like that in real life, but seeing them in that many numbers convened in one place was remarkable.

It's like a kind of a contest, who can make up the more bizzare tv-induced childhood trauma or sexual fetish or whatever... some probably are real, but half of those 'confessions' things aren't remotely convincing... I guess they let their imagination run wild since it's anonimous, but then again, who are they trying to impress?

It's been far too long since I've seen that show

Oh, so I just meandered around a bit over there. Found an Interesting Person TM almost immediately.

...I originally typed out something here but I'm starting to feel guilty about saying mean things about people from other forums, so I shall stop before I get caught up in putting other people down to make me feel better about myself....

Feeling bad...about gossiping??? ME??? lookout folks this is could be disastrous
