How long does it take you to draw a comic?

Well, we can't have you talking about girls.

I mean seriously, if you ever talk about a female, you're doubtlessly talking about all sorts of sexual perversions. I am ashamed of you, EC.

I'm very slow at drawing, mostly because I have to use a mouse to do it. I have gotten much faster though... at first it took about two hours to finish one panel, now I can do the same job in thirty minutes.

Physically draw a comic? From pencil scritchings to scan can take about one and a half to two hours, mostly because I'm IMing people as I draw, I need the distraction to work, sadly.

Of course, before that I spend about 3 hours pounding my head on my desk groaning, "Joke... joke... I need a joke... why God, why for I suck!"

For me, I've found that, under the right conditions, I can pound out pencils and inks in about half an hour. Those conditions are something akin to the planets aligning. It's about an hour and a half per once I scan it.

The fastest I've done a page in my current style from start to finish is 8 hours.

Sometimes my minimalist style is an asset. Start to posting online: 40-60 minutes.

You obviously haven't seen my comic. There's a reason I can do it so quickly. :)

About a solid 3-4 hours per panel. Add in my laziness, you get 3 comics per month. I'm attempting to do at least one a week, but backgrounds are a biotch. And so are sitting poses.

I can destroy a perfectly good sheet of paper with my scratching in about 30 minutes to an hour, and then make it worse with another half hour to an hour after scanning.

So that's...around 1.5-3 hours a page (give or take half an hour to think up the dialogue).

I stopped keeping track of how long it takes to produce art a long time ago. There's just too many variables that impact how long it takes to go from idea to finished piece. I'm also a slow artist and retentive about details...

However, I'm farily certain I have most people here "beat" when it comes to longest time spent (consistently) working on updates. :P

Given the nature of your art, that's completely understandable. If, on the other hand, someone like me said they spent 12-16 hours per page that'd warrant a definite :o .

I'm actually quite surprised I'm not the slowest one. Because I am veeeeery slooooooow. If I push myself I can get a page done in two days, which would be about 16 hours maybe. Usually it ends up taking three days at least though.

Way too long since I'm always erasing and struggling with proportions. I already have enough problems with sketching, really.

Yeah, I mean you've been working on the next page for how long now, two years?
