I feel that I'm improving very much. Last year around this time, I started a comic that was drawn in similar style as "Kill'er now" but I was so dissatisfied with results that I dropped it after a couple of pages. Though my skills aren't the top right now either, they're actually enough to make me want to post them on web.

:D I remember the last thread only got like 5 people, it's really good to see this one getting more attention. And the way some of you people's art has evolved... :o

Whoa... both of my webcomics have evolved a lot, especially Chrusher. 1st from last there is a huge shift. Sorry I didn't put a sample up... maybe I will when I have some more time.

I love how JT's style gradually grew more his own. That's so cool.

And Cookie's post, like many in this thread, gives me hope for my own art.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

My comic has been up for little over a year now - but I think I've made some decent progress. (Now if only I could update on time).

Characters from top to bottom (in the order they appeared in the comic): Pandora, Seri, Nida, Hope.

OK, I found some time to pull together a little sample. Maybe this will give the younger folks with some self-doubt some hope, as my art drastically improved over the years, and was kinda sucky when I started them as a 14 year old... but if you stick to it, you can get better. And, as a cartooning teacher once told me, never stop seeking to get better... never stop improving weak facets of your art... I'm always looking or was to clean-up and improve weaknesses in my art where I feel that I'm not that good yet. First it was the human figure, then it was backgrounds, next it was coloring... just keep plugging away. I see improvement in everybody's samples here, great job to all!:

What an interesting thread! It really shows that practise makes perfect for everyone.

What Birds Know is only a year old, but that's enough to make difference.

Elia looks like the kind of woman who should be on a mountain top yodeling.

It baffles me to no end how even though everyone's style has changed dramatically over time, they kept various things consistent. I just suck at consistancy, it makes no sense.

BTW, Cookie's transition to her style now is awesome!!

It's subtle, but it's there. The changes are more in the details and little ways she draws her lines.
