No idea if that's a jab or not, but yeah.

Of course it's not a jab... I was actually referring to myself mostly. :D

See, this is why I watch Jason Mraz. You can tell he doesn't use a backing track 'cause he riffs.

Support Riffers, and make those lip-synchers suffer.

OH NO HE DIDN'T!!!
Bosses of American satirical show Saturday Night Live were left embarrassed by Eminem last night when the rapper lipsynced through parts of his two performances on the show. A week after Ashlee Simpson's miming fiasco made headlines, Eminem failed to keep up with his own guide track as he performed politically-charged "Mosh" and new hit "Just Lose It." This came after guest host Kate Winslet poked fun at last week's lip-syncing controversy during her opening monologue. She said, "I'm thrilled to be hosting Saturday Night Live. I can assure you it is live because I'm hyperventilating a bit. I do however wish it wasn't the week after the Ashlee Simpson incident because now I really do have to perform live." Winslet then showed off her tap-dancing and singing skills - to prove that the show was completely live. Winslet's stint on the show was a hit - she played Norah Jones and a female Dr. Frankenstein in skits on the program. Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live writers further poked fun at Simpson when regular comic Horatio Sanz performed, Ashlee Simpson' you're a phoney...' to the tune of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer."

I have a reason for bringing this thread back from the dead!

I just found out that my school booked Ashlee Simpson for an on-campus concert on February 22!!!!

I'll tell you all if she lip syncs or not.

I was actually kind of surprised that Bob Sagat was pretty funny when I saw him on TV. Very different from his image on "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Full House"

Actually, a lot of what he says is funny BECAUSE it's Bob Sagat. His previous career probably helped his comedy more than anything because we all have this preconception of his previous TV personas.

Yeah, he's still rockin' the suburbs.
I honestly preffer the full band Ben Folds Five, but Ben Folds by himself is still pretty aweseome.

We had Kevin Smith, and then George Carlin last year.

Went to both.

Had a blast.

Kevin Smith AND George Carlin? Man now that would have been something worth seeing. Mind you, it prolly involved more foul language than I would usually hear or use in a calendar year. Still it would have been hella funny, and maybe even make me think a little, if it was anything like the View Askew stuff.

Almost makes me wish I was back at Uni again. Almost..

Kevin Smith actually spoke at the graduation ceremony at my college one year. He talked about how he wa supposed to write a superman movie or something, and the director watned super man to fight a giant spider for some reason. What happened to this giant spider? Watch "Wild Wld West."
