are we sure that Ozzy actually talked him into killing himself? it's quite possible that Ozzy was simply giving him directions to the store and he misheard himYeahduff wrote:Slavish devotion to rock stars is nothing new. Remember when Ozzy Osbourne talked that one kid into killing himself?

No no, that was Judas Priest.
Ozzy is all about love and happiness, man. Listen to his songs. Love and happiness!
...except Diary of a Madman. That one isn't.

Ozzy and/or Judas Priest talked a kid into killing himself? I smell urban myth...

Re: DEAR GOD WHY!?!?!?
Court trial. No joke.
Judas Priest got taken to court in the 80's because supposedly if you played one of their songs backwards it said "Do it" and these parents said that is what make their kids commit suicide. Judas Priest rightfully won, but still. True story.
Offhand I can't remember if Ozzy was actually taken to court, but the song in question was "Suicide Solution" which, amusingly, is actually an anti-drinking song. And also awesome.

That's the thing with heavy metal music, there's plenty of IRONy to be found. Sometimes you have to be LEAD to it, because people can be really DENSE.Tellurider wrote: Offhand I can't remember if Ozzy was actually taken to court, but the song in question was "Suicide Solution" which, amusingly, is actually an anti-drinking song. If Sparrow would do her job around here, I wouldn't have had to do that.

I thought making puns was Joel's job, and Sparrow just dies from puns.
