I make no excuses: if I miss an update I miss an update, why would anyone care why I missed an update?

I'm a full time college student working two other jobs. Which is my own fault, but it's still just a tad bit draining.

When I was in school/uni, I seemed to have time for infinite art, writing, and film projects, even with a double major. I don't think I ever slept. Ever.

Nowadays, if I pull an all-nighter to get a project done, I feel hungover for the next two days. And the later it gets, the more creative I might feel about scripting, but I reach a point where I can't tell if my art is any good, and all my lines just kinda stagger around the page.

Honestly? I think I'm kinda manic-depressive, and when I'm not in the manic groove, I sit around immersed in the web-crack known as ClanLord (think WoW with cuter avatars), because then at least I feel like I'm hanging around with other people instead of sitting on my ownsome.

Also, I tend to get hooked on the Judge Judy Hatchett People's Christina Lopez Brown Mathis Alex Divorce Court shows. And hooked on complaining on the LOST Bitterness Fiesta message forum. And reading other people's comics. And... uhm... work. I do work, too.

Yeah, I tend to have ups and downs, which really effect when my comic comes out. A lot of these ups and downs come from work and school and relationships. If I had a way of magically separating all of these from each other, I probably would.

Not everyone can afford to do a really well built comic. :D

I have a buffer for my comic, until september. One my future projects involves material done in high school, 1989ish, and setting it up for the web. The joys of non-school, one job, and no life. I'd write more but the dog needs out...

Because a lot of people actually like to know that there is a good reason, and not becuase the author is lazy or disinterested.

Station V3 has been daily and hasn't missed an update since July 2003 (when I was just hosting it on the webspace I had from my ISP at the time and didn't have automatic updating), but I did cut back my second comic, Z7, from MWF to "may update occasionally" due to "real life" (married, full time job with busy project) - when the busy project at work got slightly less busy, I changed its update to Tuesdays and/or Saturdays, which I think I can keep up with even if things get busier again.

Ebb's Children almost never updates since it's the third comic, and I'm busy enough with the other two! But I'm going to try to update it a little more often this year, if/when I get the chance. :)

If we're talking a real hiatus that makes sense, but for random missed updates I don't figure anyone particularly cares what my excuse is. But I go with the philosophy that no one visits my site to hear about my life anyway.

I don't know. Somewhere in my paranoid world I fear that I'll lose my readers if I miss too many updates. Of course, that's assuming I have some readers.

My excuse for not updating often? I have a million of 'em. My reason for not updating often is that I'm a lazy-assed bastard who occasionally loses all will to draw.

Many people that read mine are actualy interested in what I'm up to, strangely enough.

I asked on my site whether people care or not that sometimes i'll post a penciled page that's not inked yet, and a lot of people responded that they liked them since it shows the process in which I work. Some even asked specific technical questions regarding the pencilling.
