Everyone knows that by right the Australian continent (New Holland) is Dutch. But that bloody fool Tasman just had to decide to go East and forget to bring the flags.

I'm a BC man myself, but my mom spoke French until she was six...

Yeah i know, there's lot of french people in the Western Canada ( i even have some bilingue family in Alberta) and even more from Quebec who get a summer job there, that's crazy :p. Here (Quebec) you get like Can7,40$ / H in a MCdonal, and in Alberta you get a hiring bonus + 11$/hour !
