I thought it was pretty good, but I was probably somewhat biased by Kida's hotness.

Disney's gotten so blatant with their use of sex appeal now.
Kida was nothing compared to Helga! But if you consider the genre I thought it was par for the course and nothing offensive at all.

I just finished my comic

Fan Expo was fun!
Props to Lunar for hanging out and waiting for me while I was out... doing... uh.. whatever the hell I was doing. Reserving next year's table I think. Running on maybe ten or twelve hours sleep total since Thursday, I talked to a lot of people I knew while simultaneously trying to figure out how I knew them. Sorry Lunar XD You caught me on a very blonde weekend.

Enjoyed myself though. I may not make much at cons but I sure do get fired up to draw. Also picked up some course calendars for an interesting school; the manho and I plan to go check it out, see if it's as good as it claims.

i love conventions, even if they make me broke.

Nah. Sold a lot of Turkish-related stuff though. Have many ideas for things that will sell like mad for next year already. Image

Every new convention leaves me with a renewed zest for comics... updated Pimpette already, have another one in the buffer, and half of the next Shenanigan update is drawn. Also storyboarding the entire next Pumbum arc, and wooo.

we close on our house tomorrow and my parents drive in with furniture and then we spend the weekend getting things set up so we can move in.

Tomorrow I start at an animation institute in a near-year long course that, in my case at least, will end with internship.
The institute also wants to pitch a show to Astral Media/Teletoon based on a video game their 3D department made, and they expressed interest in having me work part-time on it after my classes because apparently my animation and art skills are superior to the 6 graduates in the previous class. The animation studio in the building is opening in two weeks when some folks from Toon Boom come down to help set it up. How awesome would that be - to have a job and experience in animation before I even finish a class? I've spent nearly every waking moment since they called me about it last week drawing my ass off. I want to be the very best, that no one ever was. To draw them is my real test - to animate them is my cause!

Also I got a tablet last Thursday, a Wacom Intuos4. Pretty psyched about it, pretty much got the hang of it except for digitally inking my work afterward because of line thickness discrepancies. Once I master that, I'll be able to do artwork better than anything I've ever done on paper.

Oh, I'm also engaged. And enraged. But you all already knew about the latter.

Tonight was a real life learning exercise in "failure to follow orders" for some of my subordinates.

I don't ever want to cross a woman who can stand a lifetime of you. At least, not without explosives.

Jesus. :o

... I mean, congratulations! May you have a lifetime of wedded bliss.

I'm at the end of my rope.
One of my jobs at uni is being a "peer mentor" for a class called "freshman foundations". The instructor of the section I help with is one of my friends mothers. It only meets once a week and normally I get there 10 min early and everything's all smiles and sunshine. I showed up today and after about 2 minutes she starts trying to pull me into an argument, telling me I was being condescending and that I "know everything" and being rude and seemingly deliberately trying to get under my skin.
I'm quitting in the morning, I don't care if I lose a friend over it I will NOT be treated that way, I only get $50 every two weeks for it I do not need the job or money, I was doing it as a favor.

OUTRAGED!!!!! :ick:
