Wow! Good luck to you guys!Dr Legostar wrote:On another note we drove the 12 hours today and are in Kentucky. We are officially finished with Canada and hopefully the loan stuff will finish and we'll close on our place here soon. Other than a trip to Iowa for my father's birthday and acquiring of furniture we're back in Kentucky for a good long while now.

LOL. No. I will be working a the local arts and crafts store nearby my apartment. It pays decent, i guess, and I get good part time hours. So it'll do for now while I prepare for grad school. I'm happy with it, because I get to keep my amazing internship, and get paid.Rkolter wrote:Congratulations! Where? Doing what? Does it involve political intrigue?Prettysenshi wrote:I got a job.

Doing well here. A friend from Ohio and her two toddler boys are visiting us this weekend. I see all three of our guys becoming fast friends.
Tristan is growing leaps and bounds. He'll be 8 months old in September. If you want more stats or links to pictures, PM Ryan or I. I know you're probably sick of all this by now. I try to keep it short & sweet.
Still unemployed. Need to get back on the wagon and hit the search hard now we're out of vacation/family reunion/etc season.
Congrats to Lego & Ajoy and Nanda & Stinky! So happy for all of you.

Its always a happy day when I stock up on Deadpool. Today its even BETTER, cause in one of the issues, DEADPOOL BECOMES A PIRATE

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0
3 babes in the house for the weekend - a 3 year old, 15 month old and my 7 month old. Old friend is in town visiting for the weekend with her boys. Yes, three boys in the house...plus my husband.
House is trashed but I don't cares. Fun is watching Ryan with the "What the fuck to I do with this many of them?" look on his face.

I have internet! yay! YAY!!!
also being a TA is weird. and why do I have so much homework from one class? what is up with that? why must it spoil my weekend along with the six lab reports I have to do? maybe it just seems like a lot because I didn't pay attention in my electromagnetism physics class. which I took six and a half years ago.

So much going on. Missions, people on leave, preparing for the redeployment in January, moving into a new room (I have two roommates now), and preparing to cover for when the other LTs go on leave... all one right after another. And our Company Commander in there somewhere as well. Whoever decided leadership should go at the very end all at once is a damn moron.
I'm exhausted with how much I'm doing these days, and its just wearing me out because I don't have weekends. I don't get days off, I get at best half days off, or a couple hours to myself.
I want to go home to Germany, I want to buy my Mini Cooper and drive it all over the Autobahn, I want to go to IKEA and buy a bunch of furniture and assemble it all so my apartment looks nice, I want to do all the wonderful things that entail not being in a desert, and all the wonderful things that entail not being in a combat zone. Yes, I'll miss the tax-free paycheck with the extra couple hundred each month, and the minimal expenses, but I'm due for a promotion when we get back (and a hefty pay raise) so I won't miss it all that much. It's been 7 months, and I'm quite done, thank you.

I am watching Disney's Atlantis for the first time...it's one of the few disney movies I've never seen and probably the only "recent" one I haven't.

I thought it was pretty good, but I was probably somewhat biased by Kida's hotness.Mvmarcz wrote:I am watching Disney's Atlantis for the first time...it's one of the few disney movies I've never seen and probably the only "recent" one I haven't.
Disney's gotten so blatant with their use of sex appeal now.
