LOL You two...

Now I see. You're the only doctor to put the Ph.D. after your name. OH, now I get it. All doctors are arrogant pricks! I'm so slow! What was I thinking?!

you weren't, but that's okay, as a Ph.D. I accept that all people are dumber than me.
-D. M. Jeftinija Pharm.D., Ph.D. -- Yes, I've got two doctorates and I'm arrogant about it, what have *you* done with *your* life?

As well you should, because we are.

In all seriousness though, I'm just now getting around to reading your Legostar Galactica and damn is it funny. Good work with that. /brown nosing

I bet. The semi-rude people just aren't the same.
people who violently and inexplicably (at least from your perspective) hate things are hilarious.
Nah, I already get hate mail. I had for a while one person whose only goal in life was to post negative comments on my comic. He or she was obsessed. Every update, was there to tell me how worthless it was. D: I'm already used to getting flamed. (The hilarious thing is, thanks to my flamer, I decided to make my comic BETTER. )

It's random positive comments that come as a shock.

And I agree, they are hilarious.

No way, a few of doctors I know are, like, the most modest people in the world.
It's really just Lego's thing.

I personally care for my traffic. Well, I like to know how many people read my comic(s). I didn't use any paid advertising, but I indeed increased my readers by doing guest strips and fan art for different popular comics who linked me. I average 175 uniques a day for now. :) Readership will grow as you give the bold ones a gift they will appreciate very much.

As for hate mails, I never got any. :P The heck if I receive them!
Just feedback like 'you should improve your English' or 'you put too much information in your dialogue' and such stuff that helped. ;) I got a praise once when I drew one of my main characters in a sexy pose.

That's a good idea. Maybe I will try to do something for someone else... the only problem is everybody elses stuff is better than mine lol.

I don't. I neither know nor care how much traffic my site gets. If the number of visitors translated to income, I probably would, but it doesn't, so I don't give a shit. I really appreciate what little feedback I've received in the form of emails and such. But the number of people who have looked at the site is completely irrelevant information to me.

You know, it really is to me as well. I guess I just look forward to some sort of popularity with stuff I've created. Making money with it would rock, but that'll probably never happen lol.

I use stumbleupon, webcomic lists and google keywords to increase traffic to my site (using wordpress). To be perfectly honest, i never got much traffic through CG using a banner, probably because it locked me to only a single community - and my traffic has increased significantly since i moved away.

Though recently i keep getting hits from google that are like 8 pages into the keyword they used....Do people really go ALL that way through google searches? I get bored after page 3 of 5,000,000...

That's why you should have a comic named after something bored students search for!

The best bit of hate mail I've ever recieved was homophobic hate mail, basically saying I was a terrible person for supporting lesbian relationships. (He must have been ok with two men having a relationship, since he singled the lesbians out and all.) I was very mature about the whole thing, and told him to shove it up his ass.

It's a Zero-Punctuation in-joke. I can't remember which clip that came from, but you may remember him from:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... -Webcomics

Anyway, you can always use both hands while servicing a TCH.

My partner in crime got hate mail for the clip in which he was spoofing Celine Dion's titanic song and scenes from that movie. Woman who sent it accused him of showing disrespect for all the people who died on Titanic and for their families. You know, "Imagine what you'd feel like if some of your loved ones died on that ship."
He replied with honest-sounding apology and lengthy explanation of how he now realises he was mistaking. When the woman responded, she was practically melting.
