Convention Season!
Re: Convention Season!
I'm planning on going to Anime North, but only as a fan.
I'm trying to decide whether dressing as a character from my own comic for it would be unbelievably pretentious. Also whether tricking/persuading friends to do the same is even worse.

Hmmm. If people are going to Anthrocon I may be willing to meet up with them. Not too interested in the furrry scene, though.

Re: Convention Season!
I'm seriously considering going to the Fan Expo this year with my sister and some friends. If I did I would definitely dress as the main character from my comic. 1) To screw with the uber-fans that believe they know everything, 2) Cause it's the only way I can imagine I'd be recognized by any CGers that were there.

Or tell them you're coming and they'll put someone piggyback on someone else to scream your name until you show up.

Re: Convention Season!
I am going to the NY Comic Con for work. I'll be working the George Street Playhouse booth on Saturday the 19th from 3 — 10 pimping the Toxic Avenger musical. If you're there you should come by and visit!

Re: Convention Season!
I am going to be attending my first convention this year and I can't wait. It'll be great to meet up with people I only know through the wonders of the internet.
Re: Convention Season!
I'm going to Anime Evolution for the... fourth or so time? (How many years has it been going?) Last year there were a bunch of webcomic events but I missed most of them. This year I'm going to more!
On a non-comic note I'm very sad they aren't letting us use the dorms this year. I love SFU campus and using the dorms was so convenient. (I don't care if people say the place makes them suicidal, I like it there.)

It's still a little while away, but is anyone expecting to go to APE in the fall?
