Haha! Yeah we are.

I'm 27 and single (as far as tax status goes.)

Though based on the content of my comic, you'd think I was 14.

Webcomic artist or cartoonist

I think "cartoonist" is a better term in the end, though I often use "webcomic artist" if I want to make it clear that I'm talking about an artist/writer that puts his/her stuff out on the internet.

Maybe you can't... :P

I'm currently engaged, but I counted myself as married. Makes sense to me. (...holy crap, the wedding is a little over three months away!)
Yeah sure, next thing you'll be telling me is that you don't like Star Wars.

If you want to use these statistics anywhere you're going to have a bit of a problem. Your groups are not mutually exclusive (as 25 is listed in both places). Also, 'single' and 'married' doesn't cover everything unless you're including long-term relationships under married and dating under single or something. CJ pointed this out and it's a valid point.

Out of curiousity, what's this for?

That's not necessarily true. It's just raw data. It's the application of the raw data that matters. If these numbers exclude some, then perhaps there's a point to that exclusion.

But the numbers AREN'T mutually exclusive. Which category would you fit a 25 year old in? :P the -25 or 25+ cat. Is it about how you feel on the inside? How do you know!? :o
Okay now I'm just being tongue in cheek, but that difference was my main original point. I'm a business student and have had teachers hitting me over the head for the way surveys were designed for aaaages. I'm a bit of a grumpy-pants about them now.

That may be true, but it still seems to exclude too many to be usefull.

28 and single by the way.

So far, data shows that webcartoonists marry around 30.

(but that's no proof that they are getting any :x )

I think you are only 20-25 until your 25th birthday, then you move up a category. That makes sense to me, at least. 25 and one minute is more than 25 but less than 30. I also think that whether someone is single or married is a pretty clear cut distinction, but perhaps married or unmarried would be a better definition.

I think of myself as a webcomic artist when I am actually updating.

Okay, I'm back, to answer some questions. But firstly, one of my own.
I'm not married or single, so I can't take your survey.
What does this mean? What do you define yourself as?

EDIT:Oh yeah....19 and married....

Secondly,
Also, 'single' and 'married' doesn't cover everything unless you're including long-term relationships under married and dating under single or something.
I kind of meant this to be in a "sense of mind" frame. If you're in a 7-year relationship but are never going to get married, and are fine just as you are? You may consider yourself as married, even though not legally. Ditto if your state doesn't let you marry because of your sexual preference. Alternatively, if you've been living with each other for 3 weeks, you might not consider yourself in the "married" status. Basically, it's whatever you FEEL like putting. Do you feel more married, or do you feel more single? Do you feel more committed, or do you feel more independant?

.....Okay, I made this poll at 11:00 when I was already tired, and I wasn't really thinking at the time.
Out of curiousity, what's this for?
Computer project on web comics. We're required to do a presentation, and we lose 8 points if we don't have a graph. So, this is going to be my graph. It's not a very scientific course, so I don't need to worry about the specifics. It's more about presenting yourself and using Microsoft Powerpoint than about scientific data.
Is it about how you feel on the inside?
Yes, pretty much.

Thanks for all your votes! Now to...uh...actually....DO the presentation...

Hmm i think there should be more options in the pole as I'm 23 and dating (as in not single) but I'm not married xD. But I still think tis interesting that by far most people seem to be 20-25 who have taken part in the pole. Still, that doesn't account for all the other people who haven't.
Ever felt like a little bug in a big world? Yeah so do we ;)

I'm 30 and single.

As for your sidenote, I like the all-inclusive power of the term "cartoonist".

I consider myself married. Even though technically you're not supposed to use the m-word for a civil union.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.
Oh noes! Read all about the tormented artist I am!
