They look dead on the versions of old classics we had in wales when I was little.

Oh, on account of animated films, I thought that The Tale of Despereaux was pretty cool.Mvmarcz wrote:Not everything is golden, I can't stand Finding Nemo, not that it was bad but it was weak. Yeah, so I'm looking for a job.
This week I found the job of my dreams in the job listings. I want it so bad it hurts!
So I'll need to whip out pen and paper and make some art for a new updated portfolio.
I've been going through old stuff on my external HD and found this pic War drew ages ago that used to be my avatar. Going to use it again now to freak out Cope.

Today I have discovered a new TV show called "Deadliest Warrior" and it's like mythbusters only with hypothetical death matches instead of myths. And it's awesome.
Especially when the experts they bring in on the different fighters are all "pirates are way more hardcore than knights" "no way knights are fighting for honor that makes them way stronger" "pirates show no mercy!" "knights will kill the infidels!" "YOU SUCK" "NO YOU SUCK"
it makes me laugh

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0
The show annoys me. They put in these little niggly things that don't make sense that annoy me. Like when a Sai's ability to disarm a long blade suddenly made it super effective against *drumroll* an icepick. Yeah. Try using a sai to flip an icepick out of someone's hand.
The conversation was literally
The icepick was WAY more deadly. One hit. The guy was dead. The Sai didn't have that power. It created a lot of puncture wounds in the dummy but none were fatal and none were very deep and the expert had trouble withdrawing the point when it was sunk in the target... but the icepick was like BAM. One hit, one kill, before the guy even know what was happening
Yeah, true, but the Sai can disarm a sword
Well then Sai wins this one
I'd understand if they at least spoke about the Sai in a positive light, but it was all ICEPICK BETTER ICEPICK BETTER SAI SUCKS OH WAIT
And more little things, like, the pirate only got one musket shot, but it was common for pirates to carry like 4-8 tucked into their waistband so they could fire shot after shot after shot
Or like, THIS NATIVE TRIBE'S MAIN PERK COMES FROM HOW WELL THEY FUNCTIONED AS A TEAM
So here's one fighting one-on-one
I watch it for the weapon demos, not the actual A is better than B stuff. Fuck yeah viking longsword cutting two and a half pigs in half.
