Oh, cool! Somehow I missed this post earlier.
Yeah I've been having this weird error lately where sometimes I'm post but it won't register as updating the topic on the main page :-?

Speaking of old stuff we ought to have us another character evolution thread. I started laughing last night looking through my old pages. Everyone went from having these long, vase-like, huge-foreheaded heads, to having long vase-like foreheadless heads with huge lower faces, to now kind of rounding out to look like some semblance of humans?? Can u beleev it
I will totally do this, gonna go look for old stuff right now.
Although in my case it will be more an evolution of style since I don't have a single project that's still going from the very start of my artistic endeavors.

VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:Current Agenda:
On my current pages I need to draw in the five posters I didn't do yet which are repeated a combined total of 28 times including slivers throughout the pages. Rehh :(
I might shade this scene digitally only because I'm so afraid of fucking it up if I try to do it by hand :/ Idk though maybe I'll try IDK IDK I'M SCARED I DON'T WANT TO FUCK IT UPPP IT LOOKS SO NYZE

I was going to panel out the next scene but then I realized the dialogue feels like it's missing something in the middle? Like when I actually went to thumbnail I realized there was a weird jump from point A to point B :/ The first page is probably okay as-is but I don't want to commit anything to Big Paper until I'm sure I'm not going to just juggle everything all over the place anyway.

Also please help it's a Tuesday night the weather is beautiful I have a promising short-term future and have nothing in the world to cause me strife or worry Why is every little thing making me want to cry with despair so much I'm afraid to go to bed and be alone :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Are you doing the posters separately and adding in post or drawing them individually? 'Cause I would take the easy way out....

I feel your pain on the shading thing, there's always a point in my work where I'm like "this actually looks decent, don't fuck it up", but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

All I can say is focus on what makes you feel happy, listen to some good music and try not to worry about the little things

*hugs*

I'll start it once I'm done with the pages I'm currently editing!

I was really, really tempted to do the former. But I think it's important for me to do things like that by hand so I get better at omitting needless details when somethign isn't supposed to be the direct subject of the frame. Like I said though... I was really. really. tempted.

Thanks, schoob. *hugs* I tried out some shading by hand on one page but I'm going to leave the rest as-is and just spend an obnoxiously long time doing it digitally today. I've kind of resigned myself to it, lol.

oh my God, ok, I think I'm back from the dead now. Swear I had bird flu, or maybe burd flu, but after watching 3 full seasons of various shows while catatonic on the couch, I think I kicked its ass.
Now is time to actually write my review for WAY D: I'm so upset it's taken me this long baaaaaaaaaa

Next scene is going to be six pages long. The last two scenes each took me about three weeks to do, I hope this doesn't end up taking more :(

One point in my favor is it's an exterior scene and it's at night and it's a looot of dialogue.

I just... I just want to post it already and I haven't even drawn the panel boxes on yet D'>

Well I have chapter 26 of FT ready to post Sunday night and I'm hoping to get two weeks of LTD (my comic) done by then as well.

Hooray for optimism...

I'm pleased to announce, for the first time in my comicking career, I have a grand buffer of 3, yes 3, pages. I don't even know what to do with myself. certainly not play video games and squander my hard work

I'll say I'm managing to update more often than VGcats. Inspiration comes and goes, and given the critical juncture of the story right now, I'm not going to risk screwing things up by forcing out uninspired pages.

In the meantime I've been dinking around on tumblr, and have recently started a presence for AntiBunny there where I'm reposting and looking back at old comics and posting my thoughts on webcomics, comics, and art in general. I just did some tweaking to the front page of AntiBunny's main site, though only to find the siteadmin is broken. When it does update I'll finally have dragged the site design kicking and screaming out of the late 90's. I should really hound my web designer friend to fulfill his promise of building a modern website for me. Ideally one with an automatic updating archive.

Also does anyone still use shoutbox? Is it still down for you as well?

Won't say I'm doing fabulous. The beginning of the year I came out of an almost 9 month hiatus. I had full intentions of quitting the comic then, but a very good friend of mine convinced me otherwise. Since then, it's been off and on getting back in the groove.

After being distracted by a whole bunch of other stuff, we're finally back on the comicking wagon. Hope we stay on long enough this time to finish this dang project before we fall off again. :shifty: :shifty:

Just posted about 30 responses to comments on my blog to get caught up with the last four months of stuff. I'll probably need to disable anonymous comments 'cause I keep having to play spambot whack-a-mole. I have at least ~85 minutes of Riiser's videos to watch to get caught up with his last three reviews, and I think he did, like, an hour-long interview, or something. I should have time to film and edit my Loud Era review tomorrow. Vaguely planning on stopping being a fuckface and actually inking the Freakboy pencils I've had lying around for months. OK, I think that's everything for now. (J/K, I have to make an archives page for my blog, too. I'll probably dump the PW ads to make room on the layout since it's kinda just filler anyways.)

edit: Just remembered that I have a fuckton of e-mails to go through, too. OMFG

I'll get some jungle references, doodle up some plants I'm happy with, make no less than 4 layers dedicated to bg fauna (with a count of around 6 different types of plants, to keep it consistent and not look thrown together...I guess?) and go back to my jungle references only to realize I should have 4 more layers.
There's lots and lots of fucking plants in a jungle setting. Oh, why, why have I done this?
At least I like drawing bg, I just spend a lot of time on it.../whining

And by fauna, I meant flora. Can you imagine?

Haha! You're probably going to be really disappointed with it. XD XD Disproportionate waiting:quality ratio. XD XD

But maybe we'll post the "A Thousand Words" comic we did a while ago so it won't be so bad. :P :P
