I haven't done an Illustration Friday entry in quite a while, and I really missed doing them. So I did one. This week the topic was "Freeze."

Yeah, their lack of facial features was really weird at first, but then I realized that their heads are pretty much just skulls with skin and eyebrows.VeryCuddlyCornpone wrote:must be tough and counterintuitive tryin to draw a brotha ain't got no nose
Oh, and I forgot to mention it, but in this redesign, I deliberately made their craniums much smaller than humans'. I think that part actually seemed more counterintuitive than the noses.

Redoing bits of Darken for a book, kinda nice to see the comparisons. 2006 or so vs 2012.

Well, waffle fries and chicken sandwiches are good, media feeding frenzies are not.peterabnny wrote:

Working on the website. How's this for replacing my old logo?

Well, unless you're drastically switching genres, I'd say it looks a little too blood drippy. Would make a decent logo for a comic about bugs that eat your skin though.

LOL!
Damn! I was trying to go for the "graffiti-on-the-wall" effect, but I guess I was too heavy on the paint. What about if I clean up the drippage? Or should I chuck it altogether and start over? Maybe I should have a contest to design the new logo...

Why not start out with different colour schemes and see where that takes you?peterabnny wrote:IVstudios wrote:Well, unless you're drastically switching genres, I'd say it looks a little too blood drippy. Would make a decent logo for a comic about bugs that eat your skin though.

Yeah, a different color than red would probably fix the problem.
