I do it sometimes, too. It's fun and when you really get going with it, the dots start to line up into patterns. Similar to Tove Jansson's dash style but less time consuming.robotthepirate wrote: Also, do you actually dot her like that?
Sounds like a combination of Gir and Robocop assembled in China. I'd read that.robotthepirate wrote: I was going to work on a comic that focused on a police robot who frequently tasered people for minor reasons (like to stop them before they stepped into a puddle by accident) and who had his friendly and threatening voices mixed up.
She is. You can have more than one best friend, you know. I've always thought that there can be different levels of friendship. If you were to ask April, Ronnie would be her BF, but Reedy would be her BFF.robotthepirate wrote:Wouldn't Frieda be her best friend?peterabnny wrote:The next ep of Critters, if anyone's interested...
Oh, yeah! Different colors have different textures. Harder, darker colors like brown, blue and orange have bigger dots closer together, while softer, lighter colors like yellow, magenta and green have smaller dots farther apart. Same principle with line shading. The hard part is trying to translate what colors would look like in B&W pointism.robotthepirate wrote: Also, do you actually dot her like that?
Sounds like my town's P.D., actually...robotthepirate wrote: First up I'd been drawing animal heads using a 2 pence coin as the basis so I was trying to work out how plausible characters with heads like that would be, but I didn't go for it.
Don't let that stop you. I actually kinda like it. Like the ears!

You do get into a groove, actually. Eventually I'll remind myself to arrange them in a pattern to bring out contours...Mastermind wrote:I do it sometimes, too.
