50 webcomics reviewed
50 webcomics reviewed
Allright, before I start, here is my latest review of a Keenspace comic, that of Triumphant Losers.
Well, I'm proud to say that I've done exactly 50 reviews of webcomics in the year and three months I've been reviewing webcomics. Looking back on the debate of reviews, I remember Kisai bringing up the topic if someone is truly accredited to review webcomics. The only accreditation I need is the approval of my readers and you, the webcomic artist. I was worried to hear the feedback upon the review of Many Tidings Grim, only to have Corgan agree with the review. It just knocked me to the ground. The support I got when I was starting to doubt my position, and I thank you all for it.
I had started off on Penny Arcade, Dominic Deegan and Megatokyo (all of which I still read to this day). It was in Feburary of 2004 that I came up with the idea of a webcomic that would review webcomics, with talking food as the cast. (No joke- the main character was to be a banana, which I posted at deviantArt.). I approached the creator of Korsil.net, Barry, and told him the idea. I gave up on the idea (Too much work to draw and write a comic- kinda an oxymoron when you think about my present condition as a reviewer), but decided to stay, and thus, began to write reviews.
In conclusion, thanks for the support, the spell checks (Thanks Pimpette, Mercury_Hat), the support (Legostar, Pimpette) and the sarcasm (no Tynan, I'm not going to add another star to any reviews! EVER!). I'll see everyone at the 100-comic review mark. Or even sooner, at the 75-comic review mark.

I did about eighty-two reviews in a similiar amount of time (I did every comic we reviewed, and others joined in) on the buzzcomix forums, in the Webcomix Weview section---alas, destroyed by the demise of Buzzcomix.
Some are repaying me by reviewing MINE, and I've taken to alternating blurbs from such reviews (with a link) on my main page.---Al

Congrats Team! May you keep reviewing until you're old and grey...
