How many---and which---comics have gone from web to print? That have a print version of their comic, readily available, for people to purchase?---Al

I'm not sure because the title of the thread's called "Web to Print" and is asking which comics have a print version for people to buy. I think he just got things backwards in his post.RPin wrote:Unless I got wrong, ain't Al asking about comics that went FROM print TO web? Kinda like what DJ Coffman did with Yurmumah?

Re: Web to print comics
Sorry about that. You're right, I got it reversed. I'm interested in those who went from web-only to a print version of their comic.---Alalschroeder wrote:How many---and which---comics have gone from web to print? Do the comics ever end up being sold in actual bookstores, though? I've never seen one at a bookstore.
I hope to someday refine my comic into a sort of graphic novel, maybe after I actually learn how to draw. And I will use my immense riches (which I will somehow have accumulated, I have to be that mansion to seed with treasure, y'know) to publish it, even though I'm sure I couldn't make a financial success. It would just be so awesome to be able to hold a book version of your own comic. ^_^
I'm also going to be a failed author, someday. Heck yeah!
Everyone should write an obscure book that goes out of print in a year. That way you'll have crazy stories to tell your kids and stuff.
I think I'll call the book...

After a lot of research on the possibilities, I used Lulu. They're really easy and handle all the print-on-demand, shipping, etc. All I had to do was organize it into a .pdf file.
It worked well for what I wanted from a publisher, which was just to get my comic available in a no-frills decent-looking book for readers to buy if they want it, and then not to have to worry about it anymore.

Azul: You don't need immense riches to get published - just look at Faub's tutorial. 8)

Yeppers. One of my interviews fell through, so I was looking for another. (And I think I've already gotten one.) I was interested, though, just personally, since there's no print version of MM yet.---AlmcDuffies wrote:Does that question have anything to do with this?
