Damn my eyes. I went to Rob's website and peeked in the gallery.

If there is a speech bubble that goes with this picture, it probably says
"DAMMIT LIEFELD GIVE ME BACK MY PENIS"

... uh, is something wrong with their necks?!?
What's sad is that's BETTER than the stuff he's doing now.Sortelli wrote:Damn my eyes. I went to Rob's website and peeked in the gallery.

But I digress. Liefeld's not actually taking over Titans, he's only doing the one issue. Still, it's terrifying, isn't it? That this guy still gets paid to draw. :/

Yikes, mine take anywhere from three to six hours depending (of course) on the size and drawing. I saw a lot of other people here take just as long or longer but a lot of the strips they are drawing are either longer or much more well drawn than mine.
The drawing is usually the longest part but often times clean up and inking (each) will take just as long. Lately I thought I was saving time by just skipping the inking process but I think clean up might take longer now. Its quite a tedious affair.

From what I've seen, it helps if you have a lightbox. That way you don't need to worry about cleaning up your lines when you're doing inking. Just put the original down, slap another sheet on top of it, and trace the drawing. There may be some minor cleanup afterward, but after the first few times it becomes easier.
Heck, Maritza Campos (of CRfH) uses a lightbox. They can be useful.

I recently switched to a new style of drawing... well, kindof. Really I just started using uberdark outlines and more stylized hair and faces. I took a break from that this weekend, but depending on the comic (I've started using different numbers of panels as well) it takes me probably an hour to sketch and maybe fortyfive minutes to ink. Inking goes pretty quickly for me becuase I don't shade, and because the lines are already there so I don't have to worry with coming up with them from scratch.
Add in the time it takes to scan and letter... say two hours? Two and a half? Something like that. I rarely keep track of time while I'm drawing.
I've considered once or twice doing the inking on the computer but rejected the idea each time. Just too much trouble, though it would save me a lot of money on buying new pens every two weeks... I am the PenKiller.
