May reflection/June anticipation
May: Awesome month!
I finally started advertising the comic (other places than in my sig, that is), and thus, my daily visits went from 65 to 160 in just that one month. I also managed to update each week and begin mission 'twice a week', which will run for two weeks more. And the day before yesterday, I finally made it to page 3 of the Guide.
June: The comic's birthday is on the 20th, and I really hope to receive some fanart for that occassion *winkwinknudgenudge*
Other than that, my main goal is to keep the current number of visits even through the summer and hopefully not miss too many updates due to travelling.

May was pretty good. It was pretty much the most successful month with the excetion of January and picked up a little feedback more often. Didn't actually draw many comics myself, but let the buffer slowly drain. Contributed to a Cancer Council fundraising comic book thingo Down Here that will come out some time later in the year. I don't stand to make any money out of it, but several thousand of these booklets sold will raise possibly $50 000 for cancer research, so that's pretty cool.
June should be pretty good too. Turn a year old on June 12 and have picked up a few art pieces from readers, which is nice. I'm spending the first week or so writing school reports, so my buffer will finally drain and I'll spend the first week of my holidays building it back up to about thirty again.
You can make June successful too by giving it a look!
Or not...

Uh, right! May: Hit people with sticks. Didn't draw anything. June: Will draw a picture. Possibly a filler.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

I actually lost readers in May, according to the web logs. This was expected. In April I did some fan art for MindMistress that got me a lot of hits. In May I did nothing -- *nothing* -- to promote the webcomic, and the hits decreased slightly.
I don't plan on promoting anything in June. Promotion begins for my comic after the current chapter, which will wrap up sometime in the middle of July. At that point it'll look like a proper superhero comic and the majority of the cast will be introduced, so it'll be ready for an advertising blitz.

I'm still on the same damn story line I've been on since september, and it is now drawing to a close. I'll be glad to move onto another storyline, especially one that takes place during the day, since everything has been at night so far it seems.
My hits increased, but my visits went down by 5. Some new people linked to my site, and I seem to be getting an email every few weeks or so. It's good to know some people care. A few people said they'd link me, and never did. One of which was promised over a year ago. Oh well, such is karma I suppose.
Drawing this crap is getting tiring, and I don't know how much longer I can keep doing it. I still owe lots of people drawings as well. I plan to just keep chugging along till I start to hate it.

May: Did a few site updates.
June: After the cookout, I will be entering into a (possibly) two month long working hiatus. I'm going to be fixing up the site even more, working on a new strip format, writing more scripts, building a buffer, and several other important things that I've really needed to get around doing. After the hiatus is up, I shall be restarting the comic on a regular schedule again.
Woohah.

This month has been pretty good. I updated with my usual consistency. And I've started to attempt mini-episodes with my characters. I've been reluctant to do much with them because I wanted to first create an established base with "bringing the funny" which I apparently did. Now I think I'm ready to work with character-based humor, but I'll still do my randomness when the ideas come to me.
This month, visits and hits were higher on average, with a few dips being weekends and server problems. I've averaged about 221 visits a day (and that's including 4 days where I don't even update a week), and 1,221 pageviews.
Next month, I hope to do more articles on the site, work on increasing traffic, etc. I'm also starting my courses on Flash, so I can understand the basics and continue work on animations.

May was pretty nice to me. My hits finally went up to over 100 a day constantly. (I think I get at least 135 a day or something like that now.) Got reviewed by TeamMayhem, and got what I consider a good, accurate score.
I got more fancy with the artwork, and actually started on a real story, which made me happy as well.
On the downside, I dropped down to one update a week.
As for Scarecrow, Ping put me on her Webcomic Finds website, which made my month. Then I let out my secret, and found out people really like the strip.
June's not looking so hot for updates, sadly. The search for the ever elusive job is making strip making hard.
We'll see.

June 6th Elvenbaath comes back, baby. I'm ready, willing, able and buffer for this 3x a week grind event. I think June will be a good month.

May: Pretty good, my number of visitors went up from last month (usually considered a good thing ^^). I had to post guest comics for a little over a week though because my internet went down and a friend of mine took over for a bit. Nearing the end of chapter two, and I've started to replace some of the...less than satisfactory archive pages. Been busy, busy, busy.
June: Hopefully not quite as hectic as May X_x By the end of this month, I hope to finish up on the pages I want to modify.

May: Pretty good. I had a drawing fit that helped me keep on track with my schedule.
June: My plans run toward: Don't let finals get in the way of updating (hey, it's not like I actually study . . .), don't let the week after school get in the way of updating, and don't let the first week of summer classes get in the way of updating.
So yeah, it looks like it'll be a fun month.

May went by really quickly, from what I remember. I've been pouring a lot more time into the composition and inking of my comic, and I found these great faber-castell pens that make it easy to do different line widths.
For June, my parents are coming to visit on Friday, so naturally Cortland's parents will be visiting him as well. It'll be a chance to use some of those great family jokes I've been sitting on for years!
