FULL FRONTAL NUDITY! plz help!!!!
Now that I have your attention, go read Roxy: Comic Book Superhero. You will be astonished by its superior quality and general niceness.
And to anyone who clicked this topic genuinely looking for help with full frontal nudity, my suggestion is to first remove all clothing.

Just make sure you NEVER, NEVER, EVER put the word "porn" in your blog, metatag list, and/or heading. You'll get unwanted visitors.
......hey, I click on EVERY topic in this section of the forum, okay?!! It's not like I was looking for yaoi or anything.....
Anyway, your art is quite good. Anatomy seems to all check in. Story is interesting, characters are clever, and the jokes don't make me want to rake my eyes out with a toothbrush. Actually, a very good comic in general! I was expecting differently when you said
Good luck!

However, as Goobla so eloquently put it, you seriously need to reduce your file size. I have cable and it still took a while to load. You'll lose a lot of readers if they can't see the comic quickly.KiruBanzai wrote:You will be astonished by its superior quality and general niceness.

You get minus 100 points for that annoying thing that scrolls inthe lower left corner of the screen.
Listen, I don't need to be reminded of your schedule, esp. if it random! (ie. no schedule)
But I like to see where the links lead to before I click them.
And another minus 50 points for big files, but I guess with full colour, and that amount of detail...
Try three things:
a) stop using 24 bit per pixel PNG's. Use palette-based ones. (use export/save for web)
b) make the images a bit smaller pixel-wise.
c) try JPGs... you might be one of the rare cases they are actually better- with amount of colors, and gradients everywhere.
Other than that I like it, 150 points!
Okay, maybe it's just me, but you overdo the curve on peoples back. Makes me think their spines are broken or are connected to the pelvis with some weird ball joint. (ie. panel 1 here or here)
And I think females should have their waist higher. Just lenghening the lower part of the torso, and possibly shortening the top part should handle both problems.
And your backgrounds don't usualy look too good. I don't like it when background use a lot of texture, and characters don't. Also, textures and gradients compress like shit. Try more hand drawin bg. The forest looked good.
panel 1 looks very bad
I'm not sure what is it you use for wordbubbles, but when you add the corrections with pen tool it looks bad. (4th panel)
You should rather make one more layer with bubbles.

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

I gave up after one comic. With filesizes like that, it would take a 56ker (such as me atm
) around 1 hour to read 30 of your comics. That's a comic every 2 minutes. Personally I gave up and I'd expect most 56k users to do so as well. Filesize optimisation ain't hard. I always take great pains to make sure my filesizes don't exceed a certain limit.
I agree with Yarpsdat. I may have only looked at one comic, but the background = yucky computer generated cack.

Um, by the time I've read your comics, the load time seems to be fine, but I guess that's because I have a T3 where I am right now. It's good to keep file size down and use jpg. Other than that, a classy comic! I enjoyed it very much.

I must have the connection of a god because the comics load right up.
I disagree completely with Yarpdats comment about the female waists. Any higher and they'll be breasts, from what I can see. You do need to lengthen the lower torso a tiny bit, as I can see an area where the crotch falls a little short of how it should actually be. Other than that, you have a really good feel for the flow and lines and curves, just keep in mind that some women have narrow hips and some women have really wide hips.

If I see correctly, you just suggested lenghtening the lower torso, and that's increasing upper/lower torso ratio, and that's pretty much equivalent to raising the waist IMHO...
but I'm not here to argue.

Heh.
My character Headless Joe is nude most of the time. He rarely wears anything more than a smile.

I suppose it ends up depending on how you want the hips. Really, though, a lot of artists are marked by some quirk in their style...really long legs, really pointy noses, big eyes, incredibly detailed hair...so if you look at it, there's no right or wrong. Just make sure if things are not quite at normal porportion, it at least flows nicely.
