Artwork needed for Collectible card game

Post by Booger »

Hey guys, some of you may remember me... but probably not too many. I was here a while back trying to get my webcomic hosted on Keenspace. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and I decided to fork over the cash for my own webspace.

Anyway, that's not the reason for my post. I'm designing a collectible card game and wondered if any of y'all wanted to do some art for the cards. I could do it all myself, but that's a lot of drawing... also, it's good to have some different styles represented.

Financially, I can't promise anything. I don't know if the game is going to sell, or even how to go about selling it. If it does turn into something profitable, of course, any artists would be compensated... though I couldn't tell ya how much... I guess that depends on how well it sells and how much artwork any given artist does.

Anyway, the details can be worked out later. If anyone is interested, or just wants to hear more, drop me a line at johnjdick@yahoo.com

Thanks for your time and possible interest.

Edit: Oh, yeah. I'll be needing playtesters too. But that's still a couple months away.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!

I'm an old school M:tGer so this sounds interesting... but what is the game about? Is it some YiGiOhAchu thing or is it sci-fi, fantasy, what?

I'll try to summarize it here, though I'll have a more complete description posted off my website in a couple days.

I used to play Magic as well, and then switched over to Star Wars, which was so horrifyingly complex that no one else played it, and those that did couldn't stand up to the awesome power that was my Bounty Hunter deck... Alas.

Suffice to say, I don't muh care for the current title of the card game, but it sounds like fun anyway, so if you want me to help out, I'm in. :D

Well I'm not much of an artist, but I'll help out if you want. The game sounds really interesting. And even though the testing thing is pretty far off, I would be interested in being a playtester or whatever it is. Can you expain what rules you have and what kind of pictures you're looking for?

I'm not too late, am I? This sounds way too interesting to pass up. (I only play M:tG back in "the day," but CCGs always have a place near my heart. Tournament incident, I'd rather not talk about it)

::Voices support::

Hello everyone, my name is Christian and I have a problem. I like card games...

I guess I can do art too. This does sound like fun. Now if you could only make it into an online version for us to play - with ourselves as the Mind Cards. That would be fun.

Can I suggest a two specific mental attacks?

1 - Indybuda's whippet!

This attack, named for the flagellation devices used by Indy in recent posts, can whip an almost indetectable mental sub-command to the opponent's brain, circumventing mental shielding!

This attack can be used in conjunction with other attacks, but only causes a 'lesser degree' of said attack due to the nature of the 'whip'.

Use with a sound attack (like 'Booming Voice') to cause a whispering noise in an attacker's ear...provides distraction. Perhaps use an 'Uncontrollable Lust' card in conjunction with it to cause someone to be attracted to you in varying degrees...even a bit could cause an opening in an opponent's shields.

2 - Instant Enema!

Quick and dirty mental attack that causes opponents to lose immediate control of their bowels! Can be focused, or used on a group! However, the larger the group, the more indiscriminate the attack becomes...

Example: when attacking an army with this attack, due to the size, you and everyone in a 5-mile radius may also be affected by it!

God, I'd LOVE to use that attack...

I wanna help! :hops up and down energetically:

Eep...Maybe I shouldn't have had a double shot of espresso. o_o; Anywho, yeah, I'll gladly contribute. And don't pay any mind to my avatar as of now, that took about three minutes and is VERY low on quality compared to other stuff that I do. ^_^
