Yeah I saw that on stumbleupon.
I'm kinda freak out now. Not sure if I want to watch any more Pixar ever again.
Though more likely it's all just wrong and all is well with the world.

It's not that it's wrong, it's that Pixar likes to drop call-backs like breadcrumbs in everything they do and some people are . . . inane enough to follow those breadcrumbs to the magical house of candy where they will be devoured by a witch. WHO WAS SECRETLY BOO ALL ALONG.

Re: Apparently all Pixar movies are connected
I seem to remember that in one movie, they had characters watching scenes from the other movie. That might break the theory I think.
You know how there are all those theories that Paul McCartney has died in 65' and he was replaced by a double... and then I remember reading a great article on internet that was irrefutably proving that all Beatles except McCartney were dead and replaced by doubles, and the first theory is just misinterpretation of clues to the later. You can prove just about anything.
This article was very fun to read, but I predict that in two years, you'll have a subculture of people who believe in this theory to the bone, and are read to fight with you about it. From now on they shell be known as Pixies.

All I know is McCartney couldn't have been taken by aliens because they already had Lennon. They had to choose.

It's a cool article, and I had fun thinking about it, but it's pretty obvious that kids just like non-human characters for whatever reason. Disney and Warner Bros. had been doing it for more than 60 years before Toy Story came out.

An argument I would make with that article is the idea that Bugs Life takes place after Walle. The idea that that trailer would still be there is daft. I prefer the idea that since insects live shorter lives and breed more frequently the evolution into sentient beings would be more rapid and might also fade quicker with the absence of humans which is why the cockroach in Walle is not sentient and talking.
I wonder how far a stretch it would be to encorporate Disney into this. Despite the physical differences Bo could also be the star fairy from Pinocchio given her talent seems to be in making things human.

But then she became evil and world-weary and turned into a witch from Sleeping Beauty.

Kim Deal no longer has any use for this theory.

It occurred to me last night that whether this theory is completely whacko or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that someone has been able to look at all the Pixar films and find a way in while they are all part of the same universe. The same cannot be said for the Highlander films.

Only from the part of me that says, "If you owned a big international film company, you would do this." The same part of me that, if I were to become a highly successful author, would hide the chapters of my final, unpublished, book scattered around the world and leave clues to their location in a section of my will kept to be revealed on the 100th anniversary of my death, bequeathing the books ownership to whoever of my ancestors can solve the riddles.McDuffies wrote:What, there is doubt?robotthepirate wrote:It occurred to me last night that whether this theory is completely whacko or not doesn't really matter.
