What I'm worried about is, it doesn't seem like he ever actually got a consent from the plushie.

If that plushie didn't want it, it shouldn't have been shaped like a purple cartoon pony.

I only made it 30 seconds in. Not a big fan of melodramatic music, nasal voices, or hyperbole.

Re: Ah, internet
Is this a satire? The voice seems to be a bit too much, like perhaps someone made a genuine rant and then others made a video for a laugh.

I know right? But the idea that a person such as this exists isn't really much of a stretch of the imagination.

That'll make for an interesting wedding night. Holiday family gatherings should be just as interesting. How do you think the plushie's family is taking this?

It seems like it's a satire where the dude forgot to be funny.Yeahduff wrote:I know right? But the idea that a person such as this exists isn't really much of a stretch of the imagination.

Instead of letting the mind-melting horror of that article set in any further, I'm just going to picture a scene in which a man sits down at a coffee shop, places a Twilight Sparkle plushie on the chair opposite him, orders for two, and then stares lovingly into her frozen plastic eyes while everyone else suddenly gets very quiet. It's such an unreal scenario that I can convince myself this is all some kind of bizarre trolling attempt, even though I know, deep down, that there's got to be at least one person on this earth that's crazy enough to fall in love with a My Little Pony character and take a stuffed doll of her "out on the town." I suppose it's less creepy than the guy drawing her in erotic poses, and those bastards are a dime a dozen on deviantart

It's the like simpsons comic book guy taken up a notch, all sense of entitlement and no discerning what is relevant and what isn't.Yeahduff wrote:I know right? But the idea that a person such as this exists isn't really much of a stretch of the imagination.
Oh well... fun shouldn't be satire's primary goal anyway. It seems like it's a satire where the dude forgot to be funny.

Like, what the fuck. The sidenote at the bottom's pretty messed-up, too:djracodex wrote:Make this guy look like a prom king.
The pillow marriage is not the first similarly-themed unusual marriage in recent times – it comes after a Japanese otaku married his virtual girlfriendNene Anegasaki, a character who only exists in the Nintendo DS game Love Plus, last November.
You're right. I'm just confused as to what the guy's goal is. Maybe he just wants some attention. I mean, here we are discussing the video, anyways.McDuffies wrote:Oh well... fun shouldn't be satire's primary goal anyway.

I wonder if he'd be allowed to marry if there was a drawing of a guy on that pillow.djracodex wrote:Make this guy look like a prom king.

Something tells me at that point everyone is so WTFed out that they go "Okay sure" and write the person off as a lost cause.McDuffies wrote:I wonder if he'd be allowed to marry if there was a drawing of a guy on that pillow.djracodex wrote:Make this guy look like a prom king.
