I've decided to let the show go on. As for God helping the evil people who did this.... I hope not. I sincerely hope not.

I've been desencitized to violence. thousands of people died today, and i just can't bring myself to feel bad for them.
rather i'm pissed off about how everyone just want to get revenge. the whole "they wronged us so they have to pay" (which invariably will become a "they exist and that offends me") is what started this whole thing.
the people who did this were a small terrorist orginization. and it's likely that most of them killed themselves in those planes. there's no one left to get revenge on. that's not a problem, we'll just declare war on the Arabs, they seem to produce a lot of terrorists. odds are that's where our friends came from, so we'll take out our frustration on them.
as a nation we're irrationally pissed off right now, and our pinhead president will take advantage of that to bolster his ratings.
wonderful.
and i just can't bring myself to feel bad for them.
------------------

Its really sadand we definatly need humor in the world. I couldn't stand watching it on the news any more since it is on 90% of the channels in New York. I'm really pissed off but I feel for the people since I recently lost my grandfather last week. I've never lost any body in such a situation but the foreboding and pain in my heart will never be fully healed ever. My condolences go out to all who have lost any one in this day.
Zachary Turner

Damn, that's just messed up. I've been desencitized more than just about anyone, and I still feel bad for the people who died today. Those people were innocent people who just happened to work for the government or near the WTC.
I can understand the being pissed about everyone wanting to get revenge. Revenge at this scale just leads to an endless cycle of hate and murder. But thinking that this is only a few people is ignorant. Do you ever watch or read the news? And I mean real WORLD news like from the BBC or from international newspapers? If you did you'd know what a real problem has been growing since the 1970's. While I won't blame all Arab nations (several are our allies), I will place the blame where it (probably) lays. Extremist muslim organizations train 100's of 12 to 14 year old boys to be suicide bombers in Isreal every year. It's sad, but trained from this young of an age, knowing nothing but hate, creates some cold blooded killers, who think they will go to heaven for their "jihad." There are 100's if not 1000's of extremists out there that given the chance would take any cheap shot on America it could get.
The problem is real, it has been here for 3 decades, and will only get worse. Thinking otherwise only shows a lack of interest in political affairs outside the U.S. and of history.

Damn, that's just messed up.

Everyone deals with things in different ways...laughter, anger, emptiness, "nothing" -- all of these are natural. No one should berate him/herself for "not feeling enough." And we shouldn't berate others who process differently from us.
I also felt a bit of guilt because I wasn't bothered enough. I feel, but I'm not breaking down, not hurt, not anxious to watch the news. It's not because I'm insensitive ... it's just that this is the way it's hit me, at the moment, this time.
I say live on, make love, laugh, create -- don't let this tragedy knock you down. Living in Israel, I'm used to random places blowing up around me at odd times on account of suicidal people who I never met but still want me dead.
So there's one thing clear to me that you should now be realising. Terrorism is how war is done today. This isn't a few isolated lunatics blowing thigs up on a whim. Behind every suicidal maniac is a vast system of funding, intelligence, training and equipment. An organization. An army.
Like the gurilla warfare of the last decades that defeated the world's most powerful armies, terrorism needs to be adjusted to before it can be defeated.
Now, we in Israel have been fighting terrorism (and gurilla) since, well, forever.
Terrorism stems, and hides amongs mostly civilian populations. Terrorists don't wear uniforms. They hide. So we found it's effective to identify their leaders and officers and target them specificlly so as not to wreck too much havoc on the surrounding civvies, while keeping them on the run thus preventing them from planning and executing their goals.
Of course, your media has been reffering to that as "excessive use of force". Just imagine what the US armed response is going to look like...
Ugh, I talk too much. Can't help but be a little bitter I guess. Deaths do that to me.

because I thought it should be done, I've set up a page with all the tributes and memorials people have done in light of this tragedy. The url is http://bathroom.keenspace.com/tragedy.html . Please let me know if you have done or know of any comics with similar memorials.
Thank you..
