It's not creepy when a girl draws teenage girls in underwear.
It is very much creepy when we watch.

I never heard of that comic. This one was a female version of the dragon warrior 1 golem I did in 2007. Found back my old drawing and wanted to doodle her again.

There is no such comic, I was just saying she looks like anthropomorphic chess tower.Ti-Phil wrote:I never heard of that comic.

Yet it would be cool. It could have a retro sit-com feel about a bunch of chess pieces who hang out together then every week their owner plays and they have a highly enlivened game of chess. Ok, it'd just be a mash-up of Friends and Wizards Chess (Harry Potter) and if done by most people (myself included) it would suck.McDuffies wrote:There is no such comic, I was just saying she looks like anthropomorphic chess tower.Ti-Phil wrote:I never heard of that comic.
Lets just stick to admiring the cool art. Which now I think of it reminds me of something out of The Wotch.

Hmmm.. I could perhaps someday try to draw a short comic about that...
Except it might end up being the chess pieces at the bar talking about their day. There could also be other game pieces there, especially the anonymous colour peon everyone wonders from which parker brother game it is from.

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
a week ago, i discovered a group from deviant art called "deviant universe" you basically create heroes and villains and put them in this world. i has contests like, create your supervillain/superhero teams using one character per creator. here is a few characters from the "DU":

speedkill is an alternate universe version of blitz

Narcissus is an alternate universe version of adonis

galaxy is an alternate universe version of nebula
to see more got to my deviant art page

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
I did some space art last night to help me relax. I had been wanting to illustrate this planet for a while since I always thought that a white gas giant would be a cool idea.

And a page from my sketchbook that I decided to add a splash of color to. It's one of the species from my sci-fi universe. They're what is refered to as an 'underdeveloped' race since they don't yet have knowledge of space travel. Technology and culture wise, they're very similar to our ancient Romans. Complete with gladiatorial combat to the death.

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
Not a doodle, really, but something I felt like sharing. I got a virus in January, and it wiped a lot of stuff out, including photos, music, and my comic and art stuff. Needless to say, it sort of burnt me out for a bit. Instead of Defenders of the Gene, I worked on pin-ups, new methods, and short 3 page pieces from other people's scripts to work on layout and storytelling. I'm feeling ready to start over on my comic, but wanted to get one more thing done, doing a bit of fan art of two of my favorite games' protagonists. full size here

Joanna from Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero, and Faith from Mirror's Edge, with a bit of playing around with her outfit. I don't have a traditional art background, not in painting at least, so getting into digital painting of this was quite a new experience. I'm still happy I managed to pull off certain textures with reasonable success, though, like the leather of Jo's outfit vs the cloth of Faith's. Also the hair was strange to get the hang of. But yea, now off to regular comicking again.
