Cellphone Photography

I love taking pictures (fail or not) with my ordinary camera. I've met last year in Chicago can attest to that. There are times I'd have more than a hundred just for an evening with friends. During my vacation last month, I decided to give my picture-taking a twist.

With my mobile phone camera, I decided to take pictures of non-people and of things that captured my interest during my trip, whether I can explain the reason or not (which is mostly the case). I called it my Art-Z project. What's good about this is that I can do it anytime because I always have my BlackBerry with me. The result wasn't so bad, based on initial feedback.

Do you like taking pictures by cell phone?

I don't really see the advantage, considering that I've used actual cameras for years, and, as a matter of fact, was awarded $200 in a photography contest when I was 7, but, then again, I've never actually used a cell phone to take a photograph. I wasn't very satisfied with the quality of photographs taken with my webcam, so I don't see how I'd be satisfied with a cellphone photo.

Nope, my camera didn't have a phone attached, nor did my phone come with a camera. There are certain advantages, like always having a camera handy for social situations, but mine primarily gets used on vacation so I've got the higher resolution photographs.

I have this little thing where whenever I'm in new town, I take a picture of some dump of garbage that I run into. I should collect it and make an art piece: "Different cities - same trash."

I take pictures on my phone if I want to insta share. My phone camera is pretty good, the lack of a flash however makes it not used as much as a regular camera though.
