I went to Rotenburg ob der Tauber for their Imperial festival (which honors when they became a free city) and I NOW HAVE A SWORD!

Step one is complete, step two is learn to use it, step three is slay a dragon/rescue a princess.

It's only a matter of time now....

I have a good friend who's way into European swordplay. I genuinely believe that he's hoping for a dragon to kidnap a princess someday, as well.

What era european swordplay? The straightforward medieval style, or the later, more attractive styles?

Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around

The last may still be affecting me.

Weeeeelll, I can work on building a dragon for you, but you're going to have to supply your own Princess.

They are fantastic!! They color so smoothly, and they blend with each other, and we're pretty sure they're made out of magic. :D :D

We'd scan pictures Michelle's done, but our old-ass scanner isn't compatible with either of our computers anymore. :( :(

(NOTE: "Old-ass scanner" denotes the chronologically advanced state of a scanner. "Old ass scanner," on the other hand, denotes either an old scanner used to scan asses, or a scanner of indeterminate age used to scan the asses of the elderly. Neither is good. D: D:)

Protip: allow BEC to get the dragon built, then abduct her and use her for the princess.

I may be going to the Penny Arcade Child's Play charity dinner in December...I should be able to find a Princess there, but she'd be the self-rescuing kind.

I got a pretty good thing going. :shucks:

My class was cancelled for the third time, so I can do other stuff.

I'm gonna eat soup. I had some chicken tenders for lunch.

I had a dream that me and my pal apologized to another girl we used to be friends with and she forgave us.

I got my essay done ahead of time.

I haven't been this consistently happy for a long time. Probably some years or so.

Today my boss gave me free comics from the dollar comic bin!

T'other day someone also brought a whole bunch of used art books into the store. I quickly snapped up three of them: those two Jack Hamm books and Anatomy For the Artist (years ago, my dad convinced me not to buy this book because it was too expensive... ) And all three only cost me about $35 altogether. :D

Congrats!

Also, as incentive for the IGDA recruitment drive, Harmonix was giving away swag. So I signed up (I've been meaning to for a while) and came home with Lego Rock Band! And Rock Band Metal Track Pack.
