Woke up to the new Green Day single today. It feels like its been years since i've heard them, because this new sound is even more painful than the last time I recall hearing them.

Oh, god. I actually got dragged to see Green Day last month. At Wembley Stadium, even. Ok, not exactly dragged - I agreed to go with my friend because I liked them a lot when I was younger. And, uh...it wasn't ALL painful. Sue me.

Also, every time I hear the song "Holiday" I still sing the Doctor Who theme along to it, thanks to "American Edit", the infamous collection of mash-ups which featured just such a combination.

Actually the show I went to was downright frightening at times. Billie Joe had the crowd eating out of his hand - they would have done ANYTHING he asked them to. Is THIS what music has come to? Violent armies of emo kids?
