My tequila and jalapeno chicken with lime rice and grilled bell pepper turned out pretty darn tasty. Next time, must remember to take picture.

One year ago today is when I started Loud Era! Aww! Although I had to pull it all down midway through and start over, so it's not really as exciting. I would use this as a good time to advertise it on Facebook except I really need to redo the site a lot. And like... catch up on my missed updates. Oh well, there's always next year.

What made me happy today was when the stupid little kid next door finally stopped screaming bloody murder for no apparent reason while his parents just sit and watch him.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

IKEA IS MY BITCH! What WHAT?!? Kitchen furniture FTW, yo.
Yeah, I might have been drinking beer while assembling some shelves and a kitchen stool. Power tools might have been involved because I don't own a socket wrench and my Gerber was taking too long. I feel testosteriffic. Yeah, I just made that a word. Inform Webster. I'll choke him and his dictionary out if he argues with me.

I had a hilarious dream, and I finished my essay two hours before it's due. Time to go play in the plentiful sunshine!!

Re: What made YOU happy today?
Yesterday was one of those days that starts out normal, escalates to awesome, drops to highly delightful, then just rockets up to legendary and stays there.
I went to Luxembourg and proceeded to tourist it up. Went to the two military cemeteries, American and German, and was not at all surprised that the American one is much much nicer and has a giant monument/chapel. Saw Patton's grave, watched a military procession with band lay down flowers (no idea why), visited the grave of an Army nurse buried there, and then I briefly prayed at the chapel. Next I went on to Luxembourg itself and saw the cathedral, the ducal palace, the battlements, a couple of embassies, and walked around all over the place seeing local stuff. The cathedral alone left me going "Woah" because its just massive with so many stained glass windows and ancient art. Also saw a farmers market that had horrible paella (or maybe I just don't like paella). Following all that, I decided to drive home rather than spend the night and so cancelled my hotel reservation. Lady spoke little English so I didn't have to pay for the room even through I cancelled the day of. Awesome.
Driving home I hit 184 km/h on the autobahn at one point when I decided to just let my car do its thing. Would have gone faster but I had to slow down for cars in front of me. That's 114 mi/h for you non-metrirc using folks. Love my car...
So its when I get back to the K-town area that the day went epic. Decided the Ramstein mall had no movies playing I wanted to see, so I ate dinner at the Macaroni Grill for the first decent meal of the day. Proceeded to have a guy at the bar a couple seats down start talking to me about SDSU being in the NCAA tournament because I was wearing my alumni sweatshirt. He and his friends were all having a grand old time, but it struck me as rather odd that they all had beards. When I asked him where they worked and they said "Oh, we're just passing through. We're in the Navy." was when it clicked. Holy shit, they're all SEALs. I bought them all a round and then got invited to hang out with them at the sports bar because it was their last night before returning to Afghanistan. We all proceeded to get really drunk and I hit on two women: a waitress and a random pretty girl who turned out to be a) working later that night as a loadmaster so couldn't drink b) engaged c) still awesome cause she hung out with us and had Coke.
So sometime around 1 in the morning, we all start walking from the bar. They go to their barracks room, I say goodbye, then walk back to my car where I promptly sit down on the ground outside the car because there is no way in hell I'm getting in that vehicle unless I'm stone cold sober. I call through the list of my LT buddies and finally one agrees to come pick me up. He finds me sprawled out on the ground listening to my iPod and barely conscious (sleepy, not blacked out). He was amazed I had the sense of mind to call someone cause I was REALLY trashed.
So, I just woke up with a hang over and need to go get my car back from Ramstein where it hopefully hasnt been ticketed or impounded. LEGENDARY.

But it's still a damn sight better than what we have now.

I just went for my first walk since the surgery. A quarter-block loop had me work up a sweat. It felt good to be moving, though.

I bought a new trash can that has this bag hiding technology!
This is awesome because now my fucking cat won't be able to shred the bag and pull the trash can over.

I got 2 hours of peace & quiet at the bookstore all by myself! Let's say it's been a long day on the toddler front.

='(RUSH: This is yesterday afternoon and last night, a montage of a bunch of media people, all pure propagandists. Every one of these people said what you're going to hear them say after I said specifically I was not moving, I was simply leaving the country for health care if Obamacare passes and then coming back. Not moving. I said that before all these people say this.
