Anyone anywhere near Southwest Louisiana?

I know there used to be a few people in parts of Texas that were close to me, I'm in southwest Louisiana, but I was wondering if nowadays anyone was near my region. My town is trying to get a local Sci Fi con started up, this year is its second year and they're trying to get everything organized, panels set up and what not. I know they're looking for webcomic people. I told the head of the con I'm up for it(if you saw in the doodle thread I also entered their art contest) but I thought I'd see if I could find anyone else willing to at least get info about it.

I'm still in Dallas, and that's relatively close. I normally stay away from East Texas, but I love Louisiana, so I'd definitely try to make it over there. I couldn't contribute but It sounds like a fun trip to check it out!
