One of the mice I'm trying to breed for experimental purposes is pregnant! Four more to go.

I went to show my sister a pretty part of the landscape and then we got lost and then I thought I was on the right way home but we actually weren't but then we eventually ended up in a completely opposite part of the town than I was aiming at. We were also stuck in traffic for a remarkably long time but we were SMILING ALL THE WAY partially because we had just eaten and partially because I received a most wondrous text message!

not today, but on christmas eve, the look on my brother-in-law's face when i gave him his Christmas gift, a over 100 year old physics text book. That made me very happy.

He probably didn't realize that everyone who goes to a Canadian university has 100 year old textbooks to give away. :D

What do Canadian Universities have to do with anything?

Promotions and awards ceremony today. I pinned on First Lieutenant, which will bring with it a hefty pay raise and more respect commensurate with my now slightly veteran status in the military. That's right, I'm a 1LT, I actually know a few things...fear me.

That sounds like are really awesome gift. Is your brother in law in to physics? That would be fun to read. Just seeing how different they viewed the universe back than. Depending on the exact date of publishing it must predate quantum theory and even Planck's constant. If he's a physics nut than I can imagine his reaction.

he's a physics major who's thinking about going to grad school for physics and he was going on about how it predated quantum theory and really enjoying what they thought of as new discoveries. It was published in 1878, still in reasonable condition, not great, but very readable.

Randomly rode up the lift today with my old physical therapist. Just one of those neat little coincidences that made me happy, 'sall.

Blackhawks beat Nashville 4-1. It should've been a shutout, but it wasn't due to BS.

I did laundry, and picked up the comics I didn't get a chance to pick up last week! Also been listening to a few of the Classic Rock CDs I got for X-Mas. It satisfies my yearning for there not being a SUPERNATURAL soundtrack.
