Ooga booga. I'm still alive. Image

Anyway, now that that's out of the way... I've been playing on and off on the Thelanis server for a while now. Not deeply... but it's good when I need to just kill stuff mindlessly for a while.

If anyone needs a level 7 Halfling Rogue on the Thelanis server, feel free to look up Dovvi Eastburrow. Image

And before you ask, of course I've got drow characters. They're just all at really pathetic levels. Image
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Purely hypothetical question here....

What kind of machine does one need to have to play such a game....hypothetically of course...

After quitting WOW for a year now, my instinct tells me this is a bad idea...

Although after looking over the wiki entry, it's not so bad actually.

Rolled up a new Wizard on Arrgossen (name's Thoroven), which is pretty much the same as my other one. Also added Callooh as a friend, hopefully I'll join the guild soon and we can work together sometime.

Okay,, I finally got un-lazy. I now have a rogue named Milov on Arrgosen, and I will make a character according to guild needs. Gimmie a day or so to work out any mechanics that I don't know yet, I'm going to try to be us non-utter noob as I can be. I have WoW experience, but I quit recently. God help me if I get addicted to this like I did WarCrack. I also still play table-top DnD so, I've got the idea down pretty well. See you there comrades.
Triumphant return!

I just had a thought. Maybe we could have occasional CG questing nights on ddo. The problem with this is that we're all probably different levels, buuuuut if we did quests for favor rather than xp, it might not matter so much. For those who don't know, your characters accumulate favor for certain quests that count towards a certain organization, such as the Coin Lords, or a House. If you reach certain amounts of favor they give you rewards....the first level of Coin Lords, for example, gives you an extra inventory tab which is really damn useful.

Well Joel, DragonMagick, Vort and I are rocking on Arrgossen. Except on elite. We seem to fail on elite. Buut since my characters were a little high level to be going a round, I have this one...a 4th level bard. She might look familiar.

Joel pointed out that now might be a good time to have a CG DDO night since a lot of people are on break. I was thinking of maybe sandwitching it between Christmas and New Years. We could do Irestone...that's a pretty fun one. Takes around level 4, give or take. the game has a max of 6 people for missions, although more may be done for raids I guess. Anyhow, if anyone has a particularly good day they'd like to suggest or any really bad days that we should avoid, post 'em.

My ranger is level 4, nearing level 5 now, so I'm up for some questing :D I think there's a couple other longish ones around the Harbor that are intended for large groups, too. Schedule wise... the Saturday following Christmas would probably work for Vort and me, possibly later on Monday evening when Vort gets home from work. We probably won't be available on the 31st, got company coming in for new year's... and I think I may be DM-ing a D&D game Tuesday night if it works out for my gamers' schedules.
