The neck looks a bit off. It looks a little long (maybe that's a nonhuman character thing? I dunno), but mostly the angle is weird. When you tilt your head your neck doesn't really change all that much in angle because it's still just the top of your spine. I tried to do that neck angle and it's not impossible but it's pretty uncomfortable and takes effort.Komiyan wrote:[img]

Komi, yum on the shirtless drow :3 His navel seems a bit off center to me, and there's something about the place where the right pec meets the rib cage that's bothering me, but that I can't quite put my finger on what it is. When I rotated the picture horizontally, it kinda looks like the ribs are tilted back away from the viewer, while the shoulders and chest are coming forward. *deposits her two cents*

Oh man, why did I not think to rotate it ;_; I'll have to do that more in future. You're very much right, the bellybutton too, I'll have another shot at fixing it later.Dragonmajik wrote:Komi, yum on the shirtless drow :3 His navel seems a bit off center to me, and there's something about the place where the right pec meets the rib cage that's bothering me, but that I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It's been a while since I drew a doodle for fun with only the tablet... Here's Kary!

Are you really that afraid that someone might steal your art?Dragonmajik wrote:Komi, yum on the shirtless drow :3 His navel seems a bit off center to me, and there's something about the place where the right pec meets the rib cage that's bothering me, but that I can't quite put my finger on what it is. If i were to hazard a guess I'd say it probably happened before.

The first thing bothersome that I noticed, was that I think the knuckles should be tilted more towards us, if that makes sense.Komiyan wrote:

Uh, SPOILERS! I guess.IVstudios wrote:And that, children, is why you don't play on the train tracks.
Something similar happened around here lately. Only the victim wasn't drinking... she was just jogging. With an iPod. On railroad tracks.
...Yeah, use your common sense, people.

He knew exactly what he was doing. Was it too subtle after all? That's what I was afraid of.BrownEyedCat wrote:Uh, SPOILERS! I guess.IVstudios wrote:And that, children, is why you don't play on the train tracks.

The only part I noticed that hinted at it were his eyes in the third to last panel, which I didn't see the fist two time I read it. I don't think it's TOO subtle though. It think it works.

Yeah, I tried to show with the sound effects that he heard his phone ring over the music, he heard the train, and he turned the music up. It was an experiment in fontography

I use to work the support queues for an fantasy art site. The artwork that people try to pass off as their own was amazing - some more brazen with outright theft (and ID theft on top of it...that one was special), and some just think it's okay to repost artwork because they think it's neat. If you just put your name in the lower border, people will just chop it off. Most people (i.e. kids who don't know any better and are just reposting) are too lazy to remove watermarks of any sort, and it makes sure the name stays with the art. So, make people work for their stolen art!

And yes, I learned the hard way to just plaster my name all over it, after my art ended up being posted to a BDSM site - they had a collection of artwork from all over, as well as material more on topic. A friend recognized the picture as mine and knew I wouldn't really appreciate the association with that particular flavor of vulgarity. Had she not recognized it, no one would have been able to track it back to me since my name wasn't on it.

I still think it's a shame to deface perfectly fine artwork with a copyright notice that huge, but as long as you have a reason for it...
